Twitter Celtic NewsCeltic twitter was back to it’s joyful best after the dazzling second half display from Neil Lennon’s side to reach the semi-final of the League Cup.

The half time storm clouds quickly disappeared as a 1-2 from James Forrest put Celtic in front allowing the visitors to turn on the style and run out 4-1 winners.

Summing things up thecomicsnob summed things up perfectly, but cynically with: ‘@celticrumoursNow we can be happy about Celtic….for a while any way.

Over in Dublin ahmebertiee saw some of her favourites in action and on the scoresheet: ‘Delighted Hooper scored, hopefully that will give him a boost of confidence. And what can you say about Forrest? Amazing once again. #Celtic.’

Forrest’s former team mate greigspence tweeted: ‘Good result in the end, glad to see james tear it up tonight second half!

Goal hero stoksey10 was as surprised as anyone by the source of Celtic’s third goal: ‘Great result 2nite! Can’t believe I scored a headed lol!’

Down under some plans are already being made for a cup final by the BrisbaneCSC: ‘Happy with that result. Onwards to Hampden.’

With Charlie Mulgrew now being serenaded with his own song the_eriugena found a suggestion to praise two goal Forrest: ‘Brilliant! RT @LouForbes James Forrest new song ‘The Shoulders Song’.

Celtic’s much changed defence were at sixes and sevens through the first half but long term Thomas Rogne backer ahmebertiee saw signs of another formation energing to solve the defensive jitters suggesting: ‘I’d actually go with M. Wilson, Rogne, Wanyama, Matthews for next game tbh.

Fraser Forster fans are thin on the ground but our ambassador to Denmark CopenhagenCelt noted the contribution of the on-loan keeper with: ‘And I want to thank Forster for the saves who kept Celtic in the game in first half. #FraserForsterCSC.’

Optimistically SwissBhoys tweeted: ‘That’s the Celtic we remember! Since killie we’ve conceded first every game and fought back. Sort defence and we’re laughing.
