Emilio Izaguirre played his first full 90 minutes in five months as Celtic’s development side beat Morton 3-1 today.
The Honduran defender resumed full training four weeks ago after suffering a broken ankle during Celtic’s 1-0 win at Aberdeen in August.
Izaguirre’s reaction to today’s test will be monitored before any decision is made over whether he can feature against Kilmarnock at the weekend.
Kelvin Wilson also came through the 90 minutes to give Neil Lennon some defensive options following confirmation that Daniel Majstorovic will be out of action for six weeks after fracturing his cheekbone away to St Johnstone.
Mohamed Bangura scored two first half goals for Celtic with Paul George completing the scoring in front of Neil Lennon.
