SFA exclude Ogilvie from Rangers enquiry

|

Stewart Regan Celtic newsCampbell Ogilvie will be excluded from the SFA’s investigation into the issue of side contracts with Rangers players.

Ogilvie joined Rangers as club secretary in 1978 before becoming a club director until quitting Ibrox in 2005.

Rangers’ on going tax issue regarding EBT’s has raised speculation that the club issued players with two contracts which is against the rules of the SFA, UEFA and FIFA.

On Friday former Rangers director Hugh Adam, who was a board member at the same time as Ogilvie, claimed that side contracts were routine through the 1990’s forcing the SFA into action.

“Campbell won’t play any part in any meeting, discussion or conclusion on any activities surrounding Rangers,” SFA chief Stewart Regan claimed. “I think it’s pretty obvious that he’s heavily conflicted.

“We’ve been aware of the issue for a while. We’ve been aware that people have views and believe that pieces of evidence exist. What we’re trying to do at the moment is get hold of as much information as we can.

“The board will meet to discuss it within a week or maybe slightly longer. Very, very quickly the board will get together to consider the facts. This will be the Scottish FA’s main board. There are seven people on the board, but if you exclude Campbell it’s six. He’s not going to be able to take part.”

Responding to the allegations from Adam, Regan added: “It is one director’s take on things but as a board we have to examine it.

“If you look at our articles of association it shows a range of powers that the judicial panel has. What will happen is that the matter will go to the Scottish FA main board and will then pass through to the judicial panel.

“There’s a whole range of things from suspension and termination of membership at the extreme end to fines and ejection from Scottish Cup competition or other such penalties the panel deem appropriate.”

When you’ve clearly got muck on your face , who checks how thick it is before cleaning it off?

That doesn’t inspire confidence…”We have been aware of the situation for a while” yet done NOTHING until forced into action by Hugh Adam’s comments in the pres !!

No mention of it being a transparent investigation with all info being openly available to the public / clubs either.

Mr. Ogilvie should step down until such times as all investigations into Rangers FC are complete.

I tweeted Stewart Reagan shortly after the enquiry was announced asking him to confirm that Ogilvie would not take part in any shape or form of the enquiry and he replied quite quickly, “Yes”.

I know we all have a low opinion of the SFA and who would blame us but lets be honest in many ways Stewart Reagan has been a breath of fresh air. Had George Peat still been there do you think we’d be having this enquiry?

What is going to be most interesting here is the efforts to make the allegations by Adams out to be sour grapes from his part. You can resty assured that rangers corruptions will be hidden, and swept under every possible carpet because of the associations many people in power at the SFA and SPL.

These corruptions have been clear for years yet we were told, “you are paranoid”. Corruption from rangers has included the control over referees like hugh the bigot dallas, and many others like him. But we are paranoid. There were the attacks on Lennon, both physical and verbal that would never have been allowed to happen to anyone in connection with rangers. the disgusting verdict to all but clear the retard who atacked Lennon at Tyncastle last May.

The skirmish started by Ally McCoist after we dumped them from the cup last February the same one Lennon was handed a multi-game suspecsion for while McCoist was told he had “no case to answer”. But we are paranoid. The bombs sent to Celtic manager, the late Paul McBride QC, and a poor senior citizen lady who happened to be a fan of Celtic, the bullets sent to two Celtic players who also happened to be Irishment, the blind eyes were turned, but we are paranoid.

McCoist expect us to stop gloating? Really? I hate what has happened to the Scottish game, but this corruption is a big part of the cause and those in power who gave their unspoken blessings to it all caused it. They are 100% responsible for the demise of the game.

They stole from everyone in the country, old and young alike. They cheated by thinking because the SFA and SPL were allowing this corruption to go unpunished that it was okay for one set of rules for them and another ste for everyone else. But we are paranoid. Pity for rangers? Not a chance. Sad for the demise of the great game in Scotland? Yes, absolutely. But the only way forward is honesty, transparency and visibility of all things connected to the game.

We have been victims to cheating for years and years, but we are paranoid. There are some real genuine rangers fans out there hurting. But they hurt because they have been shamed by the exposure of their teams corruption to steal from all of us and kill the Scottish game in the process. But as I said, we are paranoid.

suddenly, we have to be compassionate for the most uncompassionate and hostile group of people you will ever encounter if you are not of the same genepool as them.they all have short memories including mcoist. These people cannot exist on a level playing field without the outside influences and organisations.let them suffer.
