Ally McCoist transfer newsAlly McCoist believes that the SFA transfer embargo imposed on Rangers on Monday night could be the final nail in the Ibrox coffin.

Despite owing money for outstanding transfer fees going back to 2010 when Nikica Jelavic was signed from Rapid Vienna McCoist has claimed that the transfer ban is a punishment too far.

Apart from Celtic transfer fees are virtually a thing of the past in the SPL with clubs scraping around the free transfer market to fill out their squads.

Despite selling David Goodwillie for £3m to Blackburn Rovers Peter Houston was unable to spend a penny of the transfer fee despite losing four top team regulars last summer.

When Rangers announced that they were going into administration Duff and Phelps attempted to register Daniel Cousin on a wage reported to be in the region of £5,000 per week. January signing Mervan Celik was released from his contract without a kroner of a development fee paid to GAIS with clubs in France, Italy and Sweden amongst those named on the creditors list.

Responding to the transfer ban, which is already in place due to being in administration, McCoist claimed: “This decision could kill our football club. Make no mistake about it.

“This panel is not totally to blame for the death of our football club — if it happens. But this particular decision could kill our football club.

“You would hope there would be sympathetic ears within the SFA over an appeals process, but you just don’t know what is coming next.

“Plain and simply, I think it is an absolutely shocking decision.

“I found out the decision last night and I was shocked and absolutely appalled by the way this supposedly independent judicial panel was coming down on us in this form.

“Who are these people? I want to know who these people are.

“I’m a Rangers supporter and the Rangers supporters and the Scottish public deserve to know who these people are, people who are working for the SFA.

“Make no mistake about it, this is an SFA decision. They have appointed the panel so therefore they are working for the SFA, but who are they?

“I think we have a right to know who is handing out this punishment to us, I really do.

“In terms of our supporters, again they have received another kicking and we just feel it’s time to start fighting back.

“You can guarantee we will be fighting back. There are already one or two nails in our coffin, through no fault of this judicial panel and indeed the SFA, but this might be the final one.”

No remorse No regret No apology.
Now Sally want the names of the independent panel.
Much more crap from Sally and the SFA should let UEFA be judge and jury see their feelings on the shame cheating.

It is obvious this clown does not understand what is happening at Rangers. He certainly does not understand the terms ‘fair play’ or ‘integrity’. Someone at Rangers needs to sit down and explain what is happening before allowing him out in public.

Remember, this is an ‘institution’ that killed another club (Airdrie) over 30,000 pounds because ‘business is business’ and rangers were not running a ‘charity’.

    Karma, ain’t it a bitch.

  • A need to stop laughing at the buns my sides are killing me hail hail

I personally think the fines and embargo will make no difference at all. If you look at it from a neutrals point of view its a fine they cannot pay and transfers are a no as they have NO MONEY so SFA done SFA again why not impose a further ban on european football from 3 to 5 years that be more of a nail for you ally

    Yeah, me too!

And wanting the names of the people involved?
Again, how do you think these individuals will be treated by the orc fans selivating over someone to blame for the demise of dignity FC.

Okay Alistair, sit down, and explain to me, logically and coherently, just why you think this is an “absolutely shocking decision”. Is it by any chance that you think because your ragers that you shouldn’t be treated like other clubs.

Personally, I think it’s shocking that the SFA are still trying to blame CW for all your problems. Twenty years of cheating all down to wee Craigy boy.

Can you imagine the reaction of the Scottish media if Neil Lennon aggressively demanded the names of the people of an independent panel which set the punishments for football ‘crimes’? Can you imagine what would be said if Celtic supporters threatened to cause public disorder by disrupting the Cup Final involving two other clubs? There would be calls to throw him in jail and have Celtic thrown out of the league. Don’t here much of this. Ah, it is club ‘dignity’ we are talking about afterall.
