Twitter Celtic NewsTwo goal Tony Watt had twitter in meltdown as the social media network saluted the banter bhoy from Coatbridge.

The former Airdrie striker had 4,500 followers on twitter at kick-off time but had raced past the 12,000 mark by early evening.

Replacing Pavel Brozek in the 59th minute the substitute netted twice within seven minutes to rescue drab match and give the travelling support a new hero to salute.

Although Watt is a striker it seems that he befitted from the Goalkeepers Union although the exact nature of the advise remains under wraps.

Some cryptic messages were exchanged between Watt, goalkeeping coach Stevie Woods and Fraser Forster with Joe Ledley also invited in.to the magic circle.

Summing up a perfect day Forster tweeted: “If carlsberg did debuts, they would Probably be like @tonywatt14debut today.”

For almost 20 years the secrets of the Celtic huddle have remained in-house but now it seems that the huddle has a rival with the early morning ‘Celtic Walk’

Watt tweeted: “to @weewoodsy @fraseforster cheers woodsy!! It’s all your pep talks!! And the one this morning that can’t be spoke about haha.”

Ledley added: “@weewoodsy @tonywatt14 @fraseforster what goes on the walk stays on the walk.”

Gloves guru Woods tweeted: “@tonywatt14 @fraseforster what goes on at the walk, stays on the walk!”

Within an hour or two of scoring Team Watt was growing at an incredible rate with cousin Collette O’Neill amongst the first to tweet saying: “Congrats to my cousin @tonywatt14 on making his debut today and to top it off scoring 2 goals. We’re all so proud of you!! #Celtic”.

From further afield than Coatbridge there was a message from promising: “@tonywatt14 The Thai Tims will be singing a song for you.Well done today!

Strike partner Gary Hooper said: “Great performance today from the lads and 2 great goals from@tonywatt14.”

Tony Watt Celtic newsKris Commons added: “Great result today, buzzin for tony watt who scored 2 on his debut! Magic moment for the kid. Well done.”

Adam Matthews tweeted: “Great result for the boys today #CelticChampions2012 great to see Tony get his debut and to great goals too.”

Ledley added: “Brilliant day for @tonywatt14 were buzzing for him and for@HOOP588 being skipper!!! Good win.”

Anthony Stokes tweeted: “Delighted for @tonywatt14 on his 2 goals today, well done pal!”

Later on the Dubliner added: “@tonywatt14 can have my song when he scores more goals than me, it’s the only way I’ll be happy to give it up lol

Watt misses out on tomorrow’s SFA Youth Cup Final at Hampden tomorrow night but will be there cheering on the young hoops against Queen of the South.

Youth team skipper Jackson Irvine proudly tweeted: “First @marcusfraser75, then @DMcGeouch, then Filip Twardzik and now @tonywatt14. Give the youth a chance and we’re yet to disappoint #Celtic.”

Watt’s youth team strike partner from last season and twitter sidekick Greig Spence said: “Delighted 4 @tonywatt14 making his debut and scoring 2. He’s had to work harder than anyone at celtic to get his chance. Deserves it.”

There was praise from outwith Celtic with St Johnstone’s Jody Morris tweeting: “What a great day for the lad Watt..18…come on for your Celtic debut and score 2 goals in 5 minutes..what dreams are made of!!”

Aberdeen’s Scotland youth internationalist Conor Devanney thought likewise adding: “ @tonywatt14 tony tony watt tony watt tony tony watt nanananana haha. Quality mate. #livingthedream.”

The man himself took things as calmly as he tucked away his chances at Fir Park.

Watt tweeted: “ Thanks a lot!! Amazing day for me!! “ adding later: “All these messages are overwhelming!! Thanks a lot appreciate it all…”
