Duff and Phelps have claimed that they have HMRC agreement for the sale of Rangers to Bill Miller.
The Chicago based trucking magnate was announced as the preferred bidder for the debt ridden club this morning.
Miller’s plans to form an incubator company and strike a deal with the SPL and SFA have been greeted with scepticism with a number of issues still to be overcome.
Getting agreement from HMRC and Ticketus is critical to ensuring a CVA is agreed with Duff and Phelps claiming that the tax authorities are happy with the Miller proposals.
David Whitehouse told BBC Scotland: “Firstly, creditors have already given us sanction to complete the proposal; that’s under the terms of the administration proposals which have been agreed.
“Aside from that, we have already been in consultation with the largest creditor, HMRC and they are fully aware of and are supportive of the bid.
“HMRC and Ticketus are both creditors of the company and the creditors have voted in favour of the proposals which enable us to do this deal.”
The publicity hungry Blue Knights have issued a statement expressing their disappointment at being overlooked for preferred bidder status.

It could be that Craig White, Bill Miller, and Duff and Dufferer have always intended to liquidate ragers. However, they cant admit to that just yet as the fans would never allow it.

However, the no-mark forgot to fact-check anything. Apparently, HMRC know nothing about this. Even the SPL/SFA claim no assurances have been given. However, the SPL will do everything to help Rangers and thousands of supporters will never go to games in Scdotland again.
Believe me it is not the Celtic support who will be the key player in the newco farce it will be the fans of Scotland’s ‘other’ clubs. I have a feeling that the SPL and SFA are in for a shock if they think that this is going to be accepted with a minimum of fuss. But again maybe the don’t care about anything except saving their team.
If rangers get away with this with a slap on wrist and newco allowed to remain in spl I’m finished with the game in scotland , still support Celtic 100% but no other club will get any of my money from away tickets and ill never set foot in Hamden again regardless of Celtic being in final or scotland international , sfa/spl have treated us as fans and our club appallingly over the years and it’s time we stood up n said NO
