Duff and Phelps reacting to the pressure

Duff and Phelps newsBungling administrators Duff and Phelps are in the spotlight as their incompetence has finally come under scrutiny from the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Wednesday night’s BBC documentary ‘Rangers- The Men Who Sold The Jeresys’ highlighted an apparent conflict of interest involving David Grier, a partner in Duff and Phelps, who was involved with Craig Whyte and linked to the controversial Ticketus deal.

Demonstrating the deflection tactics masterminded by former Rangers owner David Murray, Duff and Phelps launched a court action against the SFA for imposing a transfer embargo on a club that owes money for transfer completed in 2010.

The lack of leadership and football know-how within Ibrox has never been more obvious than now with Duff and Phelps challenging the football authorities in a civil court less than a week before the money runs out at the troubled club.

Next Friday sees the Rangers players return to full pay with the top earners entitled to quit the club for fees under £2m.

Rather than attempt to get the much delayed CVA issued Duff and Phelps have been playing to the gallery by claiming that the club was unfairly dealt with by the SFA who admitted to leniency in the case when expulsion or suspension seemed the natural punishment.

The legal fees for the courtroom challenge to the SFA are being paid for with funds from the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund which was intended to raise funds to support the clubs hefty running costs.

As Rangers fans turn their attention to the action against the SFA a far bigger battle is being lost as their club run out of money with no sign of new investment, a CVA offer to creditors or season ticket renewal forms.

As the main creditor HMRC SHOULD take Duff & Dumber to court to get them removed. Probably too late to make any significant difference to creditors payouts if any but at least show these jokers up for what they are….incompetent / money grabbers.

Yet more creditors money being wasted in another futile waste of time. I hope IPS throw the book at them big time and land them with a hefty bill.

  • One thing about R****s fans, they don’t need any additional loft insulation. Their upstairs is thicker than the prescribed layers. They collect pennies for their club, pathetic in itself, but then hand it over to Con and Connest to pay for their actions whilst they bleed £3M+ for the administration. I used to think the GOONS wrote the best comedy material I have heard in my lifetime but now………………..

Can’t stop laughing at these stupid Rainjurrs supporters stuffing fiver’s and tenner’s into a big bottomless bucket for the Toxic Fighting Fund. Every penny of which gets used to dupe the knuckle-draggers even further by pretentious acts of bravado against the SFA…just to deflect attention away from their own double dealings. Noo this is REAL COMEDY…just can’t get enough!
