Ally McCoist transfer newsAlly McCoist has pleaded with the Rangers support to give Bill Miller a fair chance.

The Chicago based trucking magnate looks likely to be given preferred bidder status ahead of the Blue Knights consortium led by Paul Murray.

Rangers supporters groups have been sceptical of the Miller bid which seems likely to involve liquidation.

Fans have been urged to contact Miller’s business to voice their concerns about his takeover plans but McCoist has asked for patience and understanding.

“All I’d say is that everyone, whether it’s Bill Miller, Paul Murray or anyone else, has to be given a chance,” the Ibrox boss said last night. “It would be wrong for us to be judge and jury about anyone.

“The fans have to be supportive of anyone who can take the club forward. Whoever gets preferred bidder status deserves a chance.

“People will have opinions about all the parties concerned, but the one thing we all want is a degree of stability. If we have to take a couple of steps back in order to go forward, so be it.

“He has told me that will be the case, but I can’t say when it’ll happen. I’ve spoken to him, I have spoken to his representatives and there’s been conference calls. I’d rather I’d been sitting next to him when we talked, but that hasn’t been possible.

“When we’ve spoken the talks have been positive and, hopefully, the questions I’ve asked him have been the right ones.

“Hopefully something will happen in the foreseeable future because I can fully understand the fans’ concern.”

Is Bill Miller a fit & proper person to run a football club ??

What experience has he got of running ANY football(Soccer) club …none

Has he been involved in any lawsuits YES
Sued for $ 50m and settled out of court, not looking promising

Has he ANY experience of Scotland’s cultures NO

Let’s face it he is simply ANOTHER Asset stripper, no interest in the club AT ALL, simply looking for a quick buck…easy get out

Stuff the creditors, drop the debts and sell asap
    to whoever offers the most.

I hope both the SPL / SFA impose sanctions and that HMRC look closely at the transfer of assets in the interests of ALL creditors. Accounts price them at £ 120m….probable real price is nearer £ 60-75, so fire sale price should still be in region of £ 30-40m MINIMUM….Miller is offering £ 11.2m which should be rejected by auditors and assets sold on open market.
