BBC act as Charles Green researchers

|

BBC Scotland Rangers newsBBC Scotland have been acting as researchers for would-be Rangers owner Charles Green!

Less than a week away from the vote on Green’s CVA proposal that would see creditors paid less than ten pence in the pound the BBC have been investigating how Rangers can strengthen their squad for next season.

Last week Ally McCoist admitted that he was unable to offer out of contract players such as Sone Aluko or David Healy a new deal while the future of others such as Steve Davis and Allan McGregor is in doubt after they negotiated cut price get out clauses in return for accepting 75% pay cuts.

Football clubs in Scotland, England, Sweden, Austria, France and Italy are owed money by Rangers but despite those issues the BBC have uncovered a loophole that would allow the Ibrox club to sign players whilst still in administration.

The SFA applied a transfer ban on Rangers once they went into administration and rejected their attempt to sign Daniel Cousin.

Despite all the obstacles facing the club the BBC have been investigating how Rangers could bring in new players IF Thursday’s CVA is accepted.

Yesterday Alasdair Lomont revealed on the BBC website: “But SPL rules state that, with board approval, clubs in administration may replace players whose contracts expire.”

Putting his information to Green the former Sheffield United chief was encouraged by the news replying: “If you are correct, that is an avenue open to the club.”

Lamont followed up by asking Green about signing players while offering creditors less than ten pence in the pound and where the money would come from.

Green confidently replied: “No money is required for players, most are free because of the financial crisis across Europe. That’s why I’ve added £1.5m to the budget.”

    SHAMELESS CHEATS.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

  • Stevie says:

A company looking for creditors to accept a CVA announces future purchases.

Would make you think the green knight would like the CVA to fail.

Is there not audited accounts due on Friday.

Mr Green just like Mr Whyte I can see you becoming a legend.

  • williebhoy says:

Even FREE signings cost money…signing on fee for the player + % for the agent, increased wages.

I wonder why no other club that has faced administration has been able to find this loophole, but then I guess they don’t have the BBC researchers working for them !!

Makes no difference at all though, they will be out of Administration at the end of the week and straight into Liquidation.

what level of player would want to join a club with no ground – no league & no players 🙂

  • paranoidandroid says:

If the players are free, then why does he need to add £1.5m to the budget ?

    • JoeG says:

      This is an excellent point”paranoidandroid”.

I wonder how they would answer such a simple basic question? let’s be honest, they haven’t done too well with the more pressing ones have they?

  • finbar says:

Agree with stevie…green wants this cva to fail! He is openly flaunting possible signing targets under the very noses of the people voting on the cva!

  • pat says:

“With the Board’s Approval” – that would be the Board of the SPL, who would not be in a position to approve such a request given the situation with creditor clubs such as Hearts etc. and in any case the SFA would not be giving the International Registration as there would be an outcry from UEFA as foriegn clubs are also owed large sums of money.

So whilst there is a loophole to allow player signings those loopholes do have to be approved.

  • YogiBhoy says:

So Green is saying he has added £1.5m to Sally’s transfer kitty ?, if I was one of the creditors being asked to vote on their future this week I would be enquiring why this money is not being added to the CVA pot instead ?

Ok I admit I have no idea what is true or not regarding this mess. However we all know that they have cheated and the SPL and SFA have allowed them to. If the correct action is not taken by the official bodies and Green is allowed to parachute Rangers back into the SPL whether as they are or as a newco. The simplest way of dealing with this is for all other teams within the league should refuse to play them full stop.

  • Mrhappy says:

This quite blasé attitude from mr green towards signing players and depositing £30m into RFC* bank accounts seems to to be simply an attempt to win over the demonic hoardes, but also more crucially I believe it’s also designed to make creditors knock back the Cva so that when RFC* are finally liquidated he can say ‘I tried my hardest , it wasn’t me who liquidated RFC* ‘ then he immiadiatley has the fans onside when newco emerge.

  • MICHAELCRAVEN says:

HERE WE GO AGAIN,THE FARCE THAT IS `RFC IN ADMIN.,` ROLLS ON.PLEASE LET THERE BE AN END TO THIS REAL SOON,FOR I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE TIRED OF HEARING THE SAME OLD C**P REGURGITATED FROM THE NEXT IN LINE.BBC-SHAMEFUL,I THOUGHT IT WAS STV WHO ALLIGNED THEMSELVES WITH SATANS FINEST.STILL,IF YOU CAN`T BEAT `EM……………. .NEVER.HH

What does this publicly paid BBC official / lackey (Alasdair Lomont) do when he isn’t working for Cheat’s F.C? Shouldn’t he be cleaning out some toilets in Anderson Que? Or making tea for programme producers? Hoi! we pay your wages sonny-boy so make with the impartiality and cut out all your sycophantic toadying to that toxic waste dump called Cheats F.C. I feel a letter of complaint coming on…
