Clyde newsWhile others duck and dive avoiding the real issues Clyde continue to set the pace as the SFA and SPL attempt to force the SFL into catapulting Sevco into the First Division.

How Stewart Regan pushes the case for a ‘club’ that stonewalls even their own supporters calls for transparency is beyond belief.

The SFA continued to issue Rangers with a licence despite failing to provide audited accounts beyond June 2010. Charles Green’s Sevco have failed to show any open-ness or willingness to co-operate with the football authorities who champion their case.

Cutting through the scaremongering Clyde have once again seized on the main issues with another challenging statement that Regan and sidekick Neil Doncaster would rather avoid.

Going straight to the heart of the matter today’s Clyde statement reads: “The Board of Clyde Football Club has received the papers in advance of tomorrows SFL meeting and will consider the Heads of Terms supplied.

“We continue to have the same fundamental concerns about this process, however the overriding concern is a point which we have made to the SFL.

“We have received absolutely no information on the organisation Sevco Scotland Ltd whom we are being asked, and encouraged, to vote straight into the top division of the SFL under resolution 2 and possibly into SFL3 under Resolution 1.

“We have no business plan, list of directors, details of ownership, statement of capital adequacy or any proposals relating to the provision of any similar information in the near future. David Longmuir has clearly stated that he will distribute all the information he has got or is able to distribute.

“Whilst the notion that there is a leap of faith to be taken in terms of some of the matters, there can be no leap of faith with something as fundamental as knowing who is being admitted to the league.

“The very fact that there is no information of any kind being made available on this company undermines the authorities efforts to direct the new entrant to SFL1.

“It is actually impossible for any member of the SFL to make an objective assessment of the proposals under Resolutions 1 and 2 and could be seen as irresponsible to support either proposal in such a void of information.

“It is our hope that some credibility can be introduced to this process and we would ask that whoever holds information on Sevco Scotland Ltd provides a full and detailed pack to David Longmuir in order that, even at the eleventh hour, the SFL clubs are given reason to support any Resolutions that they might wish to vote on.

“We have to assume that the SFA and SPL hold such information otherwise they would not press so heavily for entry to SFL1.

“If a leap of faith is to be taken, then in the current circumstances it will be taken blindly and the only logical outcome of taking that kind of risk would be to enter them to SFL3, where, should any subsequent issues arise, they will be contained within the lowest league rather than disrupting the top flight of the SFL.

“The other matter that is entirely outside the gift of the SFL is the need for the SPL clubs to confirm that, contrary to what Neil Doncaster stated on their behalf, the SPL will meet its obligations to the SFL under the Settlement Agreement.”

It is absolutely astonishing that there are still clubs in the SFL that have yet to take a decision on whether to let ‘strangers’ into the SFL Division One.

Apart from Shithousemuir and Keechin City some other clubs have still to decide. What more information does anyone need?

This ‘time-bomb’ of an excuse for a football club are taking the piss! They are not even a football club and yet they are demanding that the enter the SFL in the top tier without anything to back it up. A complete mystery box and a ticking time-bomb when all the charges are brought out against them in the near future.

There will be massive disruption to the league that this sevco strangers are in and this too will impact on the rest of the league.

For goodess sake waken up to reality and get yourselves a backbone. Then do the right thing by your supporters . . .nothing more nothing less.

I always thought the SFA, SPL, and SFA were full of football administrators. If that’s the case, then rather than bullying people into accepting Sevco, why don’t they do some football administrating?

Why don’t they just do there jobs and find out exactly what kind of organisation Sevco is? And why don’t they find out if it’s actually eligible to play in any of our leagues?

Then, once they’ve proven to everyones satisfaction that Sevco can be trusted to run an honest, financially viable football club, with a full squad of players, a stadium, and a carpark, of course, the other league clubs could make a sensible, informed decision about letting them into our league.

Doing it that way makes perfect sense to me, but then, maybe I’m just not intelligent enough to understand why our leaders want to do it the other way round: let them in first, then try to find out if they’re suitable candidates, or if they’re even still going to be around in two months time. What was that phrase that was being bandied about by people like Regan a few months ago: due diligence? What’s happened to that?

Seriously. Can we break away from the SFA?

Get all the clubs together who can see the current SFA puppets as a bunch of bar-stewards and ditch them. They can rot in hell.

    C’mon let’s do it!
