Charles Green newsRangers utility man Salim Kerkar is looking to join Charlton with Charles Green expecting more departures from his beleaguered club.

Kerkar joined Rangers on the recommendation of Madjid Bougherra who moved to the Ibrox club from Charlton in 2008.

The 24-year-old has joined up with the Championship side in pre-season training and it looks like the Bougherra connection is about to lose Ally McCoist another top star.

Dorin Goian, Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu aren’t expected back at Ibrox after the club were admitted to Division Three with Green expecting more departures.

Lee McCulloch, Lee Wallace and Kirk Broadfoot have committed themselves to Sevco but with no sign of an SFA licence and Third Division football at best to look forward to those three internationalists could be on the move.

Green revealed: “The news we’re definitely in the Third Division means some of the key players who have come back, like Dorin Goian, Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu, will rethink their futures, understandably.

“Indeed some of the main Scots players will also have to look at their futures but Ally has players who, should the SFA allow him, he’d like to bring in.”

Green is hoping to strike a deal with UEFA in respect of transfer fees owed to various clubs and is already looking forward to the day when Ibrox is hosting Champions League matches.

He added: “I’d like the clubs and UEFA to recognise these are not my debts, this is a gesture and for them to work with us where we can come to an amicably agreeable settlement and work together as friends.

“We’re people who face up to responsibilities but we’d like help in meeting these because we want to get Rangers back to the top of the pile.

“When we do get back into Europe, whether it’s in five years, ten years or 20 years, we want to walk back with our heads held high.”

”When we do get back into Europe, whether its in five, ten , twenty years we want to walk back with out heads held high.”

That will never happen Mr Green.Firstly newco rangers have never played in Europe. Even if it takes a hundred years the club that is now known as zombie rangers will forever be known as the cheating, tax dodging frauds . . .and a library of history books will ensure that this fact will be known the world over.

As for holding their heads high . . .I think not. Unless, by some miracle, there’s an identity transplant given to thousands of bigoted, sectarian hate-mongers over the next decade then I see it being just the same old arrogant scum-bags only a great deal older and a muckle bit more cynical.

    I hope I’m wrong but alas. . .

They will always be known as cheats and frauds. They have robbed the country of valuable taxes and have never apologised for this.

If the debts aren’t yours Mr Green why are you willing to pay anything, and why should UEFA and the teams that the old Rangers FC owe money to be expected to take anything less then what they are owed. Sion are owed millions and the old Rangers FC will be getting the money from Everton so they should be paid in full.

And it now sounds that Green is going to make money from selling the players he talked into transfering to Sevco. What did he say about oportunistic and greedy?

Do sevco actually have any players signed? or are they just training with them at soon to be tesco park?

  • CarlisleCelt says:

What is annoying is they still think they are Rangers, the when we get back to Europe and everything else. If they are allowed back into Scottish football the condition should be that they come back as a complete new entity I mean no mention of Rangers etc.

“they” have not been punished as “they claim, rules were applied to them,as they were applied to gretna, dundee and livingston, does the press highlightthis of course not,i found guilty of the ebt’s they could quite rightly be expelled from scottish football, now that is a punishment.

Just seen a job card go up in the windae of the job centre over in Govan. Wanted – anyone with one leg or more who would like to play fitba on a Saturday afternoon. £3 an hour, your own transport essential.

  • Ed Dunne says:

All that is asked for and excpected is a fair application of the Law. If RFC* are found guilty of irregularities then fair and proper punishment within the laws should be applied. How can this be argued against. There have been several similar cases in the past so precedent has been set.

The self righteous attitude of the oldco RFC* supporters is preventing them from seeing the big picture. They seem to think that the crime here was being pursued and actually being caught.

  • Willie Aitkenhead says:

Can’t make it up……they want to claim to still be the now defunct / disgraced Govan club…but are willing due to their own kindness to make a gesture payment. How about the BDO taking the undervalue sale assets back and selling them on the open market for the benefit of creditors.

Once the EBT case has been sorted, I’d expect a few European clubs will be making appeals for prize money denied them by cheating….along with the re-allocation of tainted titles / trophies (I guess the prize money is too much to ask for)

All pretence will be gone and maybe then they could start with a clean slate. See you around Chico but I KNOW it won’t be in the CL not in 10-20 or 50 years….tick tock – dead club walking.
