Ally McCoist has fired out a warning to the SFA and SPL as the SFA prepare to offer membership to Sevco.
Last night the SFA issued a statement explaining how they expected to transfer the membership of Rangers to Sevco and apply a 12 month transfer embargo from September 1.
Sevco chairman Malcolm Murray admitted that they would have to go along with the sanctions in order to get the season underway at Brechin next week but McCoist’s warning could put the deal at risk.
“I am extremely disappointed that the SFA chose to release a statement last night when the Club has not actually signed any agreement,” the Ibrox boss said
“The club is trying to get to a position where we can plan for the season, which starts in only eight days.
“We have had meetings with the SFA all week to discuss membership but I had to leave the final meeting as I could not support the sanctions they were trying to impose.
“The decision has already been taken to place Rangers in Division 3 and we have accepted that, along with many more punishments. However, operating with an embargo on an already depleted first team squad – even with a window to sign players – will make the task ahead an extremely difficult one.”
The deal between the SFA and Sevco covers membership but not the SPL investigation into undeclared payments for players.
A recent BBC documentary claimed that Steve Davis and Sasa Papac benefited through payments into an EBT which could put the result of any game that they played in under threat.
The SPL have still to announce the findings of their inquiry into that matter but as far as McCoist is concerned it’s water under the bridge.
“I can also assure every Rangers fan I will not be accepting any talk of stripping the Club of titles,” he added. “That is something we will never accept and everyone at the Club shares this view.
“We all need to get back to focusing on football but again my plans have been hampered as we have had to cancel a tour in the Highlands this weekend that would have helped us prepare for the season ahead.”

Let’s be honest, whether or not it becomes officilal, and knowing the sfa they will not do anything about it, the world now knows they did not play to the rules to gain their titles, so it is fact already, they won none of them.
Whatever the records end up saying, it matters nought. I truly believe that it is hese corrupt deals that has all clubs in Scotland angry at them, nothing else. So whether sally or anyone else says they accept or don’t, the facts will remain, that they cheated, and it has been exposed. therefore, they hold zero titles from the day the corruption began.
This is a fact they can never alter regardless of how much the sfa will try to cover it up, amd cover it it up they must!
They were involved, even if by negligence in not stopping it. Let’s face it, they knew it was happening, or at the very least, some of them did. They were onvolved! If the sfa are to strip them for this, the expose themselves too.
