Steven Whittaker Rangers newsLee McCulloch has refused to condemn the Rangers players that have turned their back on Sevco.

Charlie Green, Ally McCoist and Sandy Jardine have all hit out at the ten players who have refused to follow McCulloch’s lead.

Yesterday Norwich City and Sion announced the signings of Steven Whittaker and Kyle Lafferty as the reality of Rangers liquidation begins to sink in.

With no word yet on what level if any that Sevco will be playing football at McCulloch takes a realistic professional attitude to the decision of others to quit Ibrox.

“I do not blame any of the guys and I do not look upon them as turning their backs on the club,” he told the Daily Record. “I also think it’s wrong to accuse them of chasing money.

“All they have done is look out for their families and their careers. Most of the guys who have left are internationalists and need to be playing at a certain level.

“It should also be remembered the sacrifices they made to help save jobs at this club. They gave up hundreds of thousands of pounds for the good of the club when we went into administration.

“That should never be forgotten and it wasn’t the act of selfish men.”

McCulloch added: “I do not have hard feelings towards any of them and I never will.

“They have been my mates and I know it will remain that way for years to come but I also understand why the new owners of Rangers are angry.

“I would be too if I happened to be in their shoes. They’ve just lost several assets for nothing.

“It has just been unfortunate for players and directors that few things have been resolved in terms of where we will be playing next season. The uncertainty surrounding the future of Rangers has crippled us even more.”

here’s hoping your cheating club is wiped from the face of the earth and your cheating play with it. When you purposly go on the field to injure a fellow pro then you deserve to be out the game.

Throughout this sorry story, the major players are conducting their business outwith the defined structures of the law. The Insolvency Act of 1986 clearly states a liquidated company cannot just get rid of all its debts by metamorphosing from an old debt ridden business into a debt free business while maintaining association with the old business. This activity is a criminal offence! So why are Rangers FC / Newco Servco 5088 being allowed to circumvent the law?

Also, according to Duff and Phelps’ valuation, carried out by agents Lambert Smith, the club’s freehold property is valued at £109,613,870. The property includes Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park. So why was Green allowed to obtain a loan to buy these assets for 5.5 million pounds? Surely it was Duff and Phelps’ responsibility to obtain the most money possible from the clubs assets so that the creditors could be paid the money they are owed?

On the one hand we are told Rangers FC are no longer liable to any debts because they no longer exist, but on the other hand our football administrators want to change the rules governing our football so that Rangers FC can continue to exist debt free. There is only one word to describe this. CRIMINAL!

It will be interesting to see what HMRCs liquidators (?) have to say about it all once they’re geared up and ready to take over.

D&P are under investigation and if whyte is facing criminal charges I would think that it’s not only his purchase of oldco from dodgy dave that’s being looked at, but his ‘sale’ of it to green must be getting investigated too.

As has been mentioned on the site before, Alex Thomson in one of his articles states that the selling of assets to an interested party at a vastly reduced valuation, and it doesn’t get more reduced than 110millions worth of assets for 5.5million, while the company’s going through a solency issue is illegal, and the asset stripper, something greens chums have a history for, will be either forced by the liquidators to pay up the difference of the original valuation or the liquidators own valuation or return the assets to the liquidators.

And the cherry on top of the jelly ans ice-cream is that a few of these peepel could be looking at jail time, one of the originnal members of greens original consortium, I forget his name, but I mentioned it on a previous Video Celts blog, was on Interpols most wanted list for STEALING assets from an Indonesian bank!!
Does anyone have any kind of a time frame of when the Liquidators actually take over?

  • The players walk away, the fans turn away in there thousands by not buying season tickets and now Audi are driving there cars away tomorrow haha what a joke of a ” football club ” The world is a great place to be at the moment and we’ve got auld cardie telling everybody he could of saved the rankers strangely after they died. They certainly are the people am just glad I’m not one of them. Hail hail bhoys and ghirls have a great day.

Breaking up Lafferty and McCullough is pleasing. When the last time 2 absolute scumbags played in the same team? They may well be decent people of the park but look at the message they sent on it…appalling

  • Patrick says:

At least if elbows no longer plies his demolition of talented players in the SPL we will see more of the players with flair perform without the fear that elbows will maim or cripple them.

He may say that he’s never gone out to hurt anyone and only he and god will know if that’s true but there are a list of injured players who coincidently were injured in tackles with elbows

His statement was reasonable until he said “the uncertainty surrounding rangers future”! Really? Ding ding! Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Liquidation means, yes, you get it now! Thevteam that was once rangers do notbexist. That mybfriend, is whatvthe future holds. Years of corruption means the team you played for is gone forever, extinct, kinda like unicorns or dinosaurs. Gone! But would you like some jelly and icevcream to heer you up?

never fear lee, the sfa/spl/sfl establishment will work to ensure the punishment of serv will be short and minimal ‘for the sake of scottish football’….unless external organisations and individuals insist on doing their job and shining light in darkened corners!

DAAA! When will the dumbells get it through their impermeable skulls that ‘newco’, no matter what that business was, is or will be, had no rights to implement the players contracts until they agreed to their transfer from the defunct club to the new business. In other words these contracts, though live, lay dormant in Green’s hands till the players activated them or took them from him. It is like taking someone’s car but not having the keys. It sits doing nothing till you can actually drive it. Now the explanations are beginning to confuse me too. Those that are still turning up at Murfs Park only became part of the set up once they agreed to Green taking over their dormant contracts and nothing to do with them NOT LEAVING. Leave what? The company that held their contracts when they played for the defunct club no longer existed when they made that decision. Similarly, those that left had no active contract other than that with the defunct business that could not offer them any employment. What these players did was seek a new job and they decided it would not be with Mr. Green. I am certain that the S.F.A. backed even with the strength of Charlie’s pleas are not excluded from the employment laws of the country. Why can the people in the Big Hoose not get it? Is it because they should be in one of those kind of ‘big hooses’ or are they actually unbelievably green and not blue?

Ned Flanders proclaims Ibrox impresario John Brown a twisted bigot shocker!!!

Ned Flanders today sensationally opens the depths of Ibrox entertainer John Browns bitter and twisted bigotry as he talks out of school of an evening of bigoted hatred and shame!

Ned ‘vividly’ relates a sordid story of a night when Brown shocked fellow diners by aggressively throwing aside a desert, in none other than the well healed St Andrews Sporting Club, because of the colour of the jelly it contained.
    GREEN.
Flanders states that the sheer venom and hatred used when throwing his food about the table, was so bad it could infact be compared to a sliding tackle!!!
This shocker comes after allegations that the brown bomber was not only bladdered on the steps of the building he famously played for, but also during a radio interview later that day, when he had to be cut-off by shocked and embarrassed employees.

Ned confirms in his exposé that by this time ‘the red wine had kicked in’!!

Unfortunately Flanders confirms that this type of ‘devotion to the cause’ are the type of ‘ragers man of the people credentials’ to draw hundreds of like minded people to Ibrox!!

Flanders is expected to follow up this explosive article with an equaly explosive piece next week entitled ‘Gee’in it laldy in the San Siro 2005’.

Ps. The chef in question has since been put on gardening leave.

    In business news;
Man in the southside of Glasgow who told neighbour he didn’t believe he owned his own house, told ‘mind yer ain kn business!!’.

    The mans a thug.

    Tackle on Kayal was vile.

  • Jay says:

Agree, the tackle on Kayal was disgustingly bad!

Let’s not forget Elbows shouldn’t have been on the pitch that day, but was there because he was appealing a suspension that the SPL refused to hear before the match date!!! Of course they refused!!!

It’s the SPL and it’s Rangers! And Celtic were about to take over the league! Scum!!!
