Charles Green orange RangerCharles Green has warned Dundee United that they are creating trouble by selling Scottish Cup tickets to away supporters.

Shortly after the draw paired Sevco with Dundee United Green announced that he wouldn’t be accepting any tickets as a punishment for the Tannadice club refusing to vote the Ibrox newco into the SPL.

Now it appears that his motive was to ensure crowd safety.

In another strange twist Green has offered to take all the tickets for the match denying Dundee United fans the chance to watch their own side play at Tannadice.

With his popularity reaching new heights among Sevco fans Green can’t let any opportunity slip by to voice his opinions, safe in the knowledge that Stewart Regan, who predicted social unrest if Sevco weren’t admitted to the First Division, is afraid to charge the Ibrox chief with bringing the game into disrepute.

“We’re concerned Dundee United won’t know who they are selling tickets to and how will they know if they are genuine Rangers fans or potential troublemakers?” Green asked.

“Football needs to be safe and there is no guarantee it will be. It would not need a bright guy to tell you that there has been tension between Rangers and Dundee United for a number of years.

“We’ve taken a decision to defuse that tension but the decision to sell tickets to people who may not be Rangers fans is taking it to a high level.

“I’m disappointed. I spoke to Stewart Regan about it the other day when the SFA asked my reasoning.

“We have been very clear from day one, because of the fans’ issues with Dundee United we made the decision not to take tickets and we requested they did not make tickets available to Rangers fans.”

Green added: “Have I spoken to Dundee United about it yet? I don’t think anyone from the SPL is interested in speaking to me.

“People have said it won’t look good to have a televised game with an empty stadium. Give us all the tickets then. Let’s have no United fans at the game and we’ll fill the stadium.”

A statement from Dundee United read: “While we remain disappointed with the position of Rangers in respect of not taking any tickets for this match, we will not make any statements which may inflame the situation, particularly to avoid encouraging any hostility between our two sets of supporters.”

Given recent hassle of the Green Brigade and the Celtic away support,we are led to believe the Polis are the decision makers on potential for crowd trouble/safety issues? Tayside polis need to have a word wi’ Chuckles as he seems to have prior knowledge/involvement of serious public disorder due to happen on their patch!!

How can we be sure they are genuine r…..s fans and not just troublemakers?

What feckin planet is Chuckles on?

If they are sevco fans they are by definition troublemakers, and if they aren’t sevconians, then there won’t be any trouble.
