Scott Brown newsScott Brown ran the show at Kilmarnock yesterday as Celtic continued their away-day form with a 3-1 win over the Ayrshire side.

On the back of away day success at Aberdeen and Hearts the hoops were always in control of the match with some great passing movements especially during the second half.

The third goal headed in by Georgios Samaras was the pick of the bunch finishing off a great team move with an excellent cross from Adam Matthews.

Brown scored the opening goal in the 27th minute after Matthews and Gary Hooper had opened up the home defence.

After the break Celtic turned on the style although Killie had a few clear cut chances but found Fraser Forster in top form.

Midway through the second half Brown played the ball across the face of goal for Joe Ledley to score with the midfield duo picking up £20 each from Neil Lennon for their efforts before Samaras put the issue beyond Killie in the 74th minute.

Former Celt Cillian Sheridan scored a consolation for the home side in the 90th minute but it didn’t take the shine off the performance that saw Celtic go four points clear at the top of the SPL with a game in hand.

Neil Lennon’s attention now turns to the midweek Scottish Cup replay at Arbroath on Wednesday followed by an SPL visit from Ross County.

With the Champions League on hold for two months the priority for now is domestic football with a treble very much on the agenda.
