Juventus newsJuventus coach Antonio Conte has admitted that he won’t be making any spectacular transfer deals in January.

Didier Drogba and Athletico Bilbao striker Llorente have both been linked with a move to Turin but are unlikely to be facing Celtic in the Champions League.

Juventus are back in action today facing Sampdoria in Serie A with Conte happy that the squad he has can retain the scudetto.

Asked about a Drogba deal Conte explained: “There are economic parameters that rule out such deals. This is something that I have accepted.

“Juve are interested in intelligent deals in the transfer market, finding bargains where they exist. I have complete faith in the squad I have and they are doing extraordinarily well. In the last year and a half we have only carried out intelligent transfer deals”.

On Llorente who is in dispute with Bilbao and out of contract at the end of the season Conte added: “Llorente has done very well at Athletic Bilbao. He would be a good addition because he will soon be a free agent.

“We are keeping our ears close to the ground. If there is any chance of us getting a player of his quality without paying anything and he wanted to join Juve, we would be more than happy to have him.

One and a half years ago a champion like him would never have considered coming to Turin. This means that after winning the Scudetto Juve have rediscovered their old appeal, even abroad.”

Despite leading Serie A by eight points from Milan the top scorer at Juventus this season is Fabio Quagliarella with just six goals in Serie A and three in the Champions League.

It appears juve are having to press release the same financial restrictions that we operate under. Somehow I don’t think so. Financially their squad is far more valuable than ours and they receive far higher tv rights. So let’s show them what we can do under real financial limitations.

I fear this is going to be a much bigger task against juve than it was against barca. Barca had areas we could exploit – a weakened, short defence, but arguably the best attacking force for decades. Juve though, have one of the best defences in the world, with a slightly less exciting attack.

Possession will be key, i think at home we could potentially have about a 50/50 possession, which would swing in our favour, but away is going to be so tough, especially with it being the second leg. But, in either of the games, if we score first – we will most likely win. mon the bhoys!

Weve had 100 years of corrupt cheating teams that dont have skill or the desire to play football against us. They resort to killing the game with negative tactics, we are still standing, juve just another lot to educate

No fear pound for pound Barca is a far superior team than Juve. Watched their home defeat to Sampdoria, unlike most I think we have a great chance of beating them home and AWAY. Hail hail
