Juventus dismiss Green's Murray Park moonbeam

|

Charles Green newsJuventus have denied Sevco claims that they will train at the state-of-the-art but soon to be renamed Murray Park ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Celtic.

The denial comes after a story appeared on the Sevco website claiming that the Italian side would use Murray Park on Monday and Tuesday to prepare for meeting the SPL champions.

Responding to the latest in a series of spectacular moonbeams a Juve spokesman said: “We have not decided the location of our training sessions in Glasgow yet.

“Some options have been considered from the technical staff, but nothing is confirmed.”

The story originated from Dubai where in amongst the usual stories about the size and wealth of the Third Division side Green told fans that Juventus had asked him if they could use the world renowned Murray Park Academy of Excellence.

Under the headline of ‘Ges to host Juventus’ the Ibrox website stated: “Rangers have agreed to provide training facilities for Italian giants Juventus when they visit Glasgow next week.

“The Turin team will play Celtic in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie at Parkhead on Tuesday night.

“And after they arrive in the country, they will prepare for the game at Murray Park on Monday morning then return on Tuesday morning.

“Gers chief executive Charles Green and head of football administration Andrew Dickson met Bianconeri counterparts at the European Clubs Association conference in Qatar last week.

“While they were in Doha they agreed to let the Serie A side, currently top of their league by three points from Napoli, work at Auchenhowie.”

The denial from Juventus is the latest in a long list of claims that Green has failed to deliver on.

After announcing that the club would have £30m in the bank by the end of July he announced that three billionaires were set to invest in the club.

Following talks with half a dozen players at Euro 2012 the club swooped for David Templeton on transfer deadline day.

During a trip to North Anerica Green told supporters of a planned commercial link up with Real Madrid and kit deal with adidas which also failed to materialise investors were.

Recent claims about increasing the capacity to cope with Champions League demand and re-naming the stadium have yet to be backed up and are likely to go the same way as the Juventus/Dallas Cowboys/adidas stories.

On Monday night Juventus will train at Celtic Park.

As usual, all the main stream newspapers have reported this tale from Charlie as if it was written in stone.

But when they find out the story is just one of Charlie’s many fantasies, I bet they don’t tell their readers.

Who needs the truth when you have rent a gob?

It’s funny tho, the Scottish sun website shows the story as ‘come in juve’ with a pic Chico and then goes on to say how Sevco are assisting juve for the full story THEN a small bit at the bottom saying juve have not yet confirmed where they’re training!

C’mon the Bhoys in green today!

Everyone is having a laugh but i think its time Celtic supporters turned up the heat on the MSN regarding never printing these stories, never questioning Green and mis informing the public.

TBH I wouldn’t expect Juve to confirm their training ground, nor their hotel location. They won’t have left it till this late hour though to book somewhere.

Surely someone in the mental health board should be taking these bams to the side, i think theres serious issues there, they dont even realise that everyone will find out there lies as soon as they are told

I’m all for the MSM reporting on Green’s ramblings because every time this guy opens his mouth he makes an utter arse of himself and his wee diddy club. I wonder if zombies can cringe?

Green banging on about how Juve will be using their training facilities like it’s some sort of little victory over Celtic just makes him look pathetic, but for the Italians to then deny it, well that just makes him look tragic and desperate.

Come on Chuckles, tell us another! What will it be next? Will Ally McCoist, Jim Traynor, and the more rotund element of the ibrox hordes now boycott Tony Macaroni’s all you can eat for a fiver buffet in response to Juve’s snub.

    Hail Hail.

I have to be honest, I love this guy green. As if the fans of that extinct club who used to be called rangers aren’t embarressed enough, he continues day after day, week after week, month sfter month to mske them all look even more dumb than they already are. Who else could convince a bunch of ex-fans of an extinct SPL team to follow a brand new team, not yet one year old, three divisions lower, to follow week after week, and pretend they are the same old club? He then has them believing they are the best supported club in Scotland because their two quid season ticket lets them travel to all games while one half filled Paradise brings in more gate money than five filled home games for the new club! Obviously the English people missed the boat with this rocket scientist! Why would anyone kick him into touch the way Sheffield did?
