McGeouch and Stokes return

|

Dylan McGeouch and Anthony Stokes are in the Celtic side to face Dundee today as well as Thomas Rogne.

Neil Lennon promised to rotate his squad after the midweek draw at St Johnstone and has rung the changes for the visit of Dundee.

McGeouch, Stokes and Rogne all started in the 3-1 win at Inverness Caley Thistle a fortnight ago but have struggled to hold down regular places this season.

Stokes scored twice last Saturday at home to Dundee United but was on the bench due to the death of a close friend.

Thomas Rogic and Paddy McCourt are among the substitutes with Georgios Samaras returning from injury.

Looking at the coming days Lennon said: “It is a big week and then we have the second leg against Juventus after that. It will shape the remainder of the season.

So I want to get off to a good start with Dundee then a big game at Fir Park. We just want to keep stretching our lead at the top.

Then it’s St Mirren in the cup and it will be a chance for redemption for the players. They will be well motivated for that after losing to the same team in the League Cup.

We would like to win the Double. We were bitterly disappointed after losing the League Cup semi-final and don’t want that feeling again.”
