Ogilvie delighted by cup semi-finals

|

Campbell Ogilvie Rangers newsSFA President Campbell Ogilvie has expressed his delight and gratitude at the 14 goals served up in the two Scottish Cup semi finals.

The former Rangers and Hearts director watched from the Hampden stand as Celtic and Hibs ensured a green and white final on Sunday May 26.

Both matches went to extra-time with Celtic and Hibs both falling behind before booking their places in the showcase game of the season.

Ogilvie said: “On behalf of the Board of the Scottish FA and our Scottish Cup sponsors, William Hill, I would like to express our gratitude to the clubs, players and supporters of all four semi-finalists for contributing to a memorable weekend of cup football.

“Both matches provided unprecedented levels of excitement and entertainment, generating international coverage of Scottish football for the right reasons.

“In a climate of negativity and uncertainty, the fantastic events of the weekend should serve as a reminder of the many positive aspects within our game. It was hugely encouraging seeing so many young players thrive on this stage, and equally pleasing to watch all four teams commit to an entertaining and attacking style of football.

“I would like to congratulate Hibernian and Celtic for reaching what is sure to be an enthralling William Hill Scottish Cup final but I would also like to reserve special praise for Falkirk and Dundee United for their part in a hugely enjoyable and reinvigorating weekend of football.”

This season’s Scottish Cup Final will be played for the first time on a Sunday.

Trying his best to keep in with the good guys seeing as sevco are goosed and liquidation is seemingly around the corner again.
The noose gets tighter round him and his cronies necks.
    As jackmac says a creep!!!

  • Scott Mackenzie says:

this cockroach infuriates me. all credibility within scottish football has been destroyed by his handling of the sfa during the rangers fiasco – not to mention how he has let scottish football in general deteriorate to levels below the likes of Gabon, Cape Verde Islands, and Uzbekistan.

We have had nothing but revelation of wrong-doing, lying, cheating, underhanded schemes, back room deals, and more recently the green/whyte news in regards to rangers – and not a fucking peep from him. but we finally get 2 great games and he pops up trying to leech onto their success – fucking parasite.

This creature makes judas look like a saint – why lawwell has not taken this clown and his traveling circus called the sfa down is beyond me.

Was he at the games? I didn’t think he could leave his coffin during the day- not without bursting into flames, anyway.

Good old Campbell Ogilvie, a truly magnificent scientific specimen, undoubtedly the lowest form of life ever discovered.

  • Bobo says:

Surely you have other things to discuss Campbell !

  • william milne says:

he must think its safe to stick his head above the parapet, some brass neck, just wait till sevco unravels and he’ll hibernate again

    • eastside says:

Even better will be when Craigy Bhoy releases the recordings of his little chats with Mr Conflicted. Poor old Campbell will be watching games being played during recreation at Bar L.

  • eastside says:

So Campbell ‘conflicted’ Ogilvy, one of about a dozen establishment corrupt football figures who have brought the sport to its knees, watches 2 Hampden semi finals, drinks and food and all expenses paid. Nice one.

  • paulybhoy says:

Just listened to talk sport still saying rangers were demoted to the third division liars liars pants on fire
