You Tube Celtic newsYou Tube is fast becoming the first port of call for football fans to catch up on the latest action.

After years of illegal uploading of goals and highlights most clubs and football authorities have given up on chasing the pirates by embracing the technology and putting their own content on the popular website.

Celtic and the SPFL both have their own You Tube channels with the goals from all matches generally available within 24 hours of the full time whistle.

Supporters no longer have to wait for the second rate Sportscene highlights package where the tired and predictable guests tip-toe through their cliches fearful of expressing an opinion that might upset anyone in the game.

As well as the latest Celtic action You Tube allows supporters to watch almost anything they like with the Lierse TV proving popular today thanks to Tony Watt’s scoring debut yesterday against Kortrijk.

Overnight an interview with Watt appeared alongside some post match celebrations where one of the Lierse players started a chant for the fans to join in with.

With the Belgian embargo covered a clip of Watt’s goal is now available charting the 92 seconds between his introduction and the ball striking the back of the Kortrijk net.

Closer to home Teemu Pukki and Charlie Mulgrew were scoring the goals that mattered as Celtic beat St Johnstone 2-1 to move into joint top place in the SPFL alongside Inverness Caley Thistle.

It was an impressive first half performance from the hoops with the new signings of Pukki, Virgil van Dijk and Derk Boerrigter becoming more and more prominent.

Completely agree That bullshit sky sports half hour programme they put out at 12 pm on Sunday night is a total insult. HH

If I’m honest, It amazes me that the MSM are running a highlitghts programme at all.
It’s a total irrelevance. Most fans now have seen the goals from their teams a full day and a half before these amateurish programmes appear. It’s the same old pundits and ex pros spouting the same old drivel a pure turn off. Again most fans are getting honest comment and opinion of games from fellow supporters through the Internet.
Unless they change their format and timing I think the days of these highlight programmes are well and truly numbered.

I didn’t think Boerrigter had a good game at all.
He looked like a player who was trying to hard and his frustrations were there for all to see and IT think had a big effect on the lad.
I’m sure once he settles his nerves down he’ll be a fine player.

Spot on SH, he came to us with an injury prone tag. After a lightning start for us he got injured, now he’s back I agree totally that he looks as if he’s trying too hard. There’s no doubt though that he is a class act and I hope the back room staff tone his eagerness down a notch.
    Hail hail
