Mario Balotelli newsAjax coach Frank de Boer has slated Mario Balotelli after the striker earned and converted a stoppage time penalty for AC Milan against Ajax.

The 1-1 draw suits Celtic and keeps Group H open with the Dutch side facing two matches against the hoops in a make-or-break phase for both clubs.

Ajax were leading thanks to a 90th minute goal from Stefano Denswil when Balotelli hit the deck deep into injury time.

Afterwards Frank, number two to his brother Ronnie, who missed a penalty or two himself, said: “With Balotelli you know he can score from scratch and create theatre. That cost us two points.

“This point comes with a bitter taste. At the end of the day I can live with a point, but to concede with the penalty was disappointing. There are always moments of contact in the box. It’s about letting go at the right moment and Van Der Hoorn did that. It was ridiculous that penalty was awarded.

“We dominated the first half with very good positional play and also had our chances. After the break we made more wrong choices and were restless. Milan were more in the game.

“If you create three or four good chances in today’s football, you must score at least one.”

Milan coach Massimo Allegri added: “Balotelli played well, he went close to scoring the opener when he hit the bar with a great shot. He is a very important player for us.

“We have played several games in succession with the same players because we have many on the sidelines. The team did what I asked in the first half. We tried to control them when they were running at us and then strike in the second half when Ajax were tired.

“Unfortunately we made a mistake in our marking on that corner and we conceded in our best period of the game.”

Couldn’t agree more with the handsome twin. It is one of the most ridiculous decisions ever given at a game. I can well understand their fury and frustration. If it happened against the ‘Tic I would be sick for a fortnight.

The games corrupt from top to bottom, from Sepp Blatter, through Michel Platini and the leagues, teams and players they cosset. The football associations and their puppets in black officiating games for them.
I actually laughed out loud, for real, when I saw a news item on the beeb news about the inaction from the relevant authorities not taking action on allegations of match fixing in the English lower leagues.
    The irony was astonishing.
Sorry to drag der hun into this, but when you consider what’s been going on in Scottish football over the last couple of years, and I guess you could through a hundred years of sectarianism within the Scottish game, and I don’t just mean the hun, I mean right through the game, from the sfa to characters like tiny warton, all you can do is laugh.
The game’s getting more and more like WWF wrestling every season.
I really wonder sometimes if It’s really worth the bother and the fact that we, the mark, because that’s what we’re becoming, are financing the entire crooked gig.

Fair play Pw, how would you feel if he had pulled the same stroke against Celtic robbing us of a victory in the CL?
Although I’m not saying I don’t feel better about it since he done us a favour. ;0)
