Sandy Easdale newsUpbeat Ally McCoist is hopeful that Sevco’s £1.5m emergency loan will be good news for the club.

Halfway through his 120 review of the clubs’ finances, and having lost former finance chief Brian Stockbridge and had conceptual discussions with players over a wage cut rejected, Graham Wallace has had to turn to two existing shareholders to meet the February payroll.

Mr Wallace, who used to work for Manchester City, has recently taken to issuing statements denying that the club is in a cash crisis with McCoist taking those statements at face value.

Last week McCoist was told that the emergency loan was part of the business plan with today’s detail about the deal providing the Ibrox gaffer with hope that good times are just around the corner.

“How beneficial this will be for the club is not really a question I can answer,” the fun loving former Question of Sport skipper admitted. “That’s one for the chief executive and the board – but I have been told it’s part of a plan that they had.

“I would hope it would be a positive step but to my knowledge, it will not have any impact on my plans for the squad.

“I will have a better idea of what we have for next year’s budgets in terms of players coming in after Graham has completed his 120-day review.”

Confirming that his planned summer spending spree may be put on hold McCoist added: “I understand the fact Graham has asked for 120 days and I think we should respect that and certainly give him that.

“I would hope we would have enough time to make the preparations we need after the 120-day review is completed.

“We are keen to get the football side of things moving and to continue to move forward. There are lots of issues we have to address on the scouting, medical, transfer and contract fronts.

“On our side of the business we are keen to get moving so I would be very hopeful that we would have enough time.”

Meanwhile in London today the Upper Tier Tribunal into the EBT’s used by Rangers prior to liquidation was opened, it is expected to deliver a verdict in mid March.

    What Sleekit meant to say….

Certainly…and I can say most definitively….it is absolutely clear to me that I am not in a position to comment on things like this…unless I’m specifically asked to.
Even then I would be wary of perhaps straying into uncharted waters ..over which I have no control…and would not wish to end up shoite creek without a paddle.
Is this loan a good thing…? Well certainly from where I sit in Gregg’s front window….it has all the appearances of being such a thing…But will it impact on my player’s Budget…?
Absolutely , probably, or more likely definitely….it might or might not.
As for going into Admin. again….Well certainly we wullny..unless something transpires that in fact we will.
To be honest…I don’t know what I’m on about…but certainly neither does any of the other directors…so we go forward together…As one.

No need for that mad tirade . You are so much better. Everyone, with the exeption of super sally knows that they are done, ( he does too by the way, but he still has to play to the deluded audience)

So lets start being positive, they are washed up, we don’t need them, the country does’nt need them, football does’nt need them, time to let them rot in the gutter they created for themselves.

Let them behave in the only way they can, let them continue to be the bigoted anti-everything bar the proddy, unionist, facist clique that they are.

Time, Jason, to rise above them and show that we are Celtic Supporters, we are bigger and better, leyt them do the bad mouthing, we can handle it.

    Joe,

I like your line,” taking those statements
    at face value ”

Sleekit talks about a planned financial
    crisis.
He now takes over from the ‘ glib liar ‘ as the King of the liars.( pun intended )

He talks budgets ?? When even the gullible
Zombies are realising it is all bullshit.
The expensive 1M Laxey loan and 500k
from the bully boys, everyone knows, is to
see them through to ST renewals.

Buying success from.the 4’th tier, has come at a VERY HEAVY PRICE for them.

    GREAT, AND CONTINUED SUFFERING FOR
    THE ZOMBIES IS UTOPIA !!

Ally, I’ll give you a better idea about your new budget right now. It’s going to start with a minus sign.

    • Andybhoy says:

      Spot on paranoidandroid.

They need emergency funding just to keep their club in business for another month yet McCoist is still talking about budgets for signing new players next season. Talk about delusional!

There is NO money left Ally, what is it about that fact you don’t seem to get?

  • Mildou Wolf says:

Is fat Sally serious when he’s talking about budgets for next season when they’re having to take out a pay day loan to pay the players they’ve got ! He lives in cloud cuckoo land !

    • paranoidandroid says:

Yeah, you’ve got to admire a man who can use so many words yet never say anything that makes sense. I don’t think he’s used a proper verb in the last two years.

  • Wulz88 says:

Just imagine if the rolls where reversed and Neil Lennon was doing the exact same things. Wonder what the Scottish media would be doing. Then again think we all know what would happen !

Let me guess, the million dollar a year man is “in all honesty, absolutely hopeful going forward”! The honey monster has zero self awareness and actually believes he sounds intelligent and dignified despite repeating the same words in every interview he has had in the past 3 years.

  • Pyewacket1888 says:

Next years budget????? His brain has been eaten. It’s the only reason I can see to explain the mans mumblings.

  • Funky says:

I thought it was just me having problems understanding this fat rambler. He seems to answer every question with an affirmative and a negative response, never giving a straight definitive answer. It’s always “as far as I know”, ” I would hope…” or “I’ll certainly be asking Charles/Craig/etc about that..”. He’s a master fence-sitter always protecting his arse. If you asked him what day it was tomorrow he’d probably start with “I’m led to believe…”. He slithers away from any accountability every chance he gets. But he’s sly enough to still be “negotiating” the wage cut. What’s to negotiate?…he’s obviously only gonna agree to the cut if he gets written assurances that when/if sevco get into the SPL he’ll be continuing as manager with his wages back to 850,000 or even increased. McCoist, the man with no shame.
