EasdaleDave King has accused the current Sevco board of fiddling while Rome burns and of running out of funds.

After issuing three statements in less than a week the man described by a South African judge as a glib and shameless liar issued his latest attack through Sky Sports.

Mr King has been summoned to Ibrox next week to meet club chairman and anti-apartheid crusader David Somers as fears grow about the survival of the club.

In November King attempted to secure a blazer for Paul Murray but despite his best efforts the shareholders refused to open the door of the blue room for the borders based banker.

Recalling his last visit to Scotland the Castlemilk born billionaire told Sky Sports: “I was looking for a new share issue and for those funds to go into the club and into the team and really all that’s happened is they have adopted a ‘Nero fiddling while Rome burns’ approach where the inevitability of the next couple of months has come to pass.

“The board has done nothing, has not been transparent at all with regard to the finance and we now know as a matter of fact that the club has run out of funds and is trying to shuffle on in the hope that the fans will once again come to their rescue.

“They are looking for them to give enough money for season tickets so they can continue for another couple of months before again ending up in another financial crisis. That is what I am trying to avert at this point.

“The board has said my intentions are nothing other than damaging but in fact the opposite is true. The board should go to the fans and say ‘this is the true state of the position at this club’.

“Yet they will be relying again on the fierce loyalty of the fans in the belief that they will once again stump up their season ticket money, give them a windfall of cash for the next couple of months to shuffle away with no questions asked.

“What I am saying to the fans is ‘ask the board why they are not being transparent?’ It is something you would expect of any public company and more particularly a company where they themselves are admitting they are in financial trouble by admitting they want the fans to bail them out once again.”

Mr King added: “I will now meet the board as requested. I will visit the institutions in London next week and put a schedule together with some of the existing shareholders to understand where they are and how they would feel about a rights issue.

“Also, whether they would participate, whether they would give the rights to someone like me and I would like that out of the way before I meet the fans.

“Then I will stay up in Scotland for as long as it takes until we have a definite gameplan as to how we will go forward from there.”

You do it so well with humour.

So the Lying King wants transparency ?
Am I the only one,who sees the irony in
    this ?

Have a rights issue and everything will be
    alright ?

    Short-term bullshit.

What money is the Lying King going to put
    in ?
Not a lot,if he wants to get involved with
    OTHERS in ANOTHER share issue.
Will the London instituitions shy away,
after the farce that has ensued after the
first flotation, re value share price.

But yet,the blind gullible Zombies, hang on
to the Lying King’s every word, and follow

Let’s not forget that this bloke lost millions as a result pf the previous regime. If it were any of us.. let’s look at this..

I make an investment and it stonewalls big time. Do I

    A) Walk away (no pun intended) and learn a lesson

    B) Throw more money at it and gope the new ship rights itself or

    C) Think of a way I can make my money back

Answers on a very small postcard please

    • Mark says:

He never lost any money, that’s a media lie, he gave old Huns £20m and got £18m back and the other £2m was the fee for laundering the £20m in the first place. True story HH

      • Mike Bhoyle says:

Heard that as well Mark….from a good source.
        HH

Mark, I think Murray the Knight conned him for £20million, resulting in King saying he would pursue him in court! Funny the Media never ask him about that! then again maybe. Murray Metals squared him up! dunno! but ye know that auld sayin’ “when thieves fall out” ??????

    • The silver fhox says:

I think the answer is C. Am I right?

  • Wulz88 says:

Why has Wallace stopped saying they won’t go into administration anymore. Now they want a meeting with the GLIB LIAR to explain himself, and tell the truth about his intensions ( good luck with that one). King will attend the meeting to find out what the boards intensions are (good luck with that one), and report that back to the ZOMBIE LOYAL.
    HAPPY HAPPY DAYS BHOYS !

  • peter says:

    Jackmac,

It’s got to be C, all day long.
    Personally,I have a HUNch,that the
Lying King is full of Bullshit !!

  • Pasty says:

“I was looking for a new share issue and for those funds to go into the club and into the team” So really Dave King is wanting the Rangers Fans to force a new share issue with all proceeds going to fund the team and not to compensate the other shareholders for having their own share value diluted. King therefore is the person who will gain the Millions out of this action as he would be paying the 28 or so for the shares, whereas the other share holders bought their shares for 70p each.

The Huns just love being used by guys out to make a killing.

  • Eastside says:

Aye, Dave ‘foreskin eyelids’ King was Mr Transparency when he was on the Rangers board, .

  • Dougie says:

Presumably no-one has suggested that the glib and shameless liar who had previously been involved in an insolvency event for a Scottish football club as a board member would be able to fulfil a role in any position with a new club which was going into a further type of insolvency event. It just seems to be a case of déjà vu and no-one in authority seems to have the balls to do anything about it! Yez are all f—ing crooks anyhow!
