Kris Commons newsKris Commons and Lisa Hague led the title celebrations, and tributes to Oscar Knox, after Celtic’s SPL championship presentation.

Before the teams appeared the stadium rose to sing You’ll Never Walk Alone with the fans bursting into applause five minutes into the match in memory of the 5-year-old from Belfast who lost his fight for life on Friday.

Three years ago Lisa led a bucket collection at Celtic Park to raise funds for treatment for the toddler and kept close contact with the family.

As Celtic set off on a lap of honour Lisa held up a t-shirt remembering Oscar as she joined Scotland’s Player of the Year celebrating a third consecutive title.

Afterwards on twitter, Stephen Knox, father of Oscar tweeted: “@kcommons15 amazing pic! Which I have stolen for my profile pic! Thanks!!! @a_rose1dresses #TeamOscarForever.”

Replying Lisa said: “@sknox7 @celticfc @kcommons15 our pleasure, no way he wasn’t being on the pitch with us xx @LeonaKnox.”

Kris Commons classicSpeaking to Sky Sports, while son William indulged in some nasal engineering, Commons said: “Today is what matters, celebrating with your family in front of the fans.

“The supporters here are exceptional, they come out in their thousands week in week out, this is a massive thank you to the people who travel from all over the world to watch us every week.”

Picking up on the Oscar theme Leigh Griffiths said: “It was Johan’s (Mjallby) last game today so we had to do it for him and for little Oscar Knox as well.”
