Ronny DeilaRonny Deila won’t be fazed by the pundits obsessed by the penalty that Celtic got against Hearts.

A typical attention seeking performance by Willie Collum spoiled Celtic’s 4-0 win over Hearts on Sunday as the hoops progressed into the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.

The brutality of Morgaro Gomis’ attack on Scott Brown has largely been ignored while Kris Commons had a perfectly good goal disallowed for reasons known only to the Lanarkshire referee.

Dunfermline coach Neil McCann led the hysteria aimed at John Guidetti with other talking heads happy to provide a chorus line in support of McCann who received a £500,000 EBT from Rangers (IL) according to the BBC.

Deila has noted the reaction to the incident and won’t be drawn into the matter as he attempts to keep Celtic on course for the treble.

I’m very surprised how much attention there is in Scotland on small details like that,” the hoops boss said. “I have to see a bigger picture, we talk too much about it.

In the media now, people have to speak a lot to get something powerful out which gets television viewers or clicks on the internet. As I’ve said before, I’ve done it myself in Norway and I know how it works. I know the pressure there is to say something but I really don’t care what any of the pundits said about John and I’m sure he won’t think about it all either.

If he was cheating, we would have to talk about it, but that wasn’t the case. It’s not something which should be talked about as much as it has.”
