red cardThe Premiership play-off between Motherwell and Sevco ended in chaos as Lee Erwin and Bilel Mohsni clashed moments after the final whistle.

Mohsni was walking off the pitch when Erwin pushed him in the back. The Tunisian ace turned round and kicked out before landing a punch on Erwin’s chin before players from both side’s raced in to separate the players.

It has been reported that referee Craig Thomson summoned Stuart McCall and Ian Baraclough to his room after to inform him that three players had been issued retrospective red cards.

The incident came at the end of the match which Motherwell had won 3-0 to retain their Premiership place with a 6-1 aggregate.

After a goal-less first half two own goals from Marius Zaliukas turned the match Motherwell’s way before a stoppage time penalty from John Sutton completed the scoring.

Mohsni replaced Zaliukas after the second goal and was making his last appearance after signing on a free transfer for Ally McCoist in July 2013- one year into the journey.

The SFA and SPFL are bound to take a serious view of the incidents at the end of the match and review video footage from the match which was shown live on BT Sport.
