John GuidettiAfter being linked with a new club on a daily basis for the last two months John Guidetti has signed for Celta Vigo.

Links to Inter Milan, Marseilles, Seville, Sporting Lisbon, Feyenoord and others failed to materialise with the Swede signing for Celta, who finished eighth in La Liga last season, on a five year contract.

Guidetti joined Celtic on loan from Manchester City in September 2014 and immediately settled with a flood of goals.

By December the goals had dried up with Leigh Griffiths taking his place in the Celtic side as it became inevitable that his stay in Glasgow would be a short one.

There was one stunning highlight in the second part of the season when he scored a dramatic equaliser for Celtic against Inter Milan in the Europa League but by that stage it was clear that he’d be on the move at the end of his loan deal.

After his goal against Inter Ronny Deila said: ““I hope he just keeps ?on scoring now. He is ?motivated and focused, that’s what I want to see. I don’t know about Marseilles, it’s rumours, I think he should stay.

He has been in and out of the team. Why? Because he hasn’t been good enough. When he plays at his best level he is good enough, then he will play. Then he will develop. He is still young and hopefully he will want to stay.”

Despite falling out of favour at Celtic Guidetti finished the season a European winner as Sweden lifted the u-21 European Championships in the Czech Republic.
