Hareide not fooled by Celtic draw

malmoAge Hareide won’t read too much into Celtic’s 2-2 draw at Kimarnock last night.

The Malmo boss was among the crowd at Rugby Park last night as Ronny Deila’s side struggled at both ends of the park.

Sloppy defending and attacking cost Celtic dearly with the hoops defence unusually vulnerable.

Kilmarnock could have scored twice before Josh Maggenis escaped from Efe Ambrose and Virgil van Dijk to level the scores just before half-time.

Despite going back in front thanks to Nir Bitton’s spectacular 55th minute strike Celtic continued to miss chances with Kallum Higginbotham late penalty sealing a night of disappointment.

Celtic rested a few players,” Hareide said. “I think they have more in hand. I have seen them a lot and I know they are a good side.

“We have the same problem in our league. We play teams lower down the league and they always lift themselves when they play against the big boys. When Celtic fire on all cylinders it will be more difficult for us.

“Celtic are better than Kilmarnock but Kilmarnock battled well and got back from 2-1 down. To play at Celtic Park you have to be brave and you have to find the right way of defending and the right way to attack. We need a very good away game at Celtic Park to have a chance to go through.”

On Saturday Malmo are at home to Gelfe, who are eight points behind them in the Allsvenskan, before making the trip to Glasgow and the first leg of the Champions League play-off.

There seems to be more Killie supporters on these comments than were at Rugby Park last night. Or is it just “servco” supporters trying to cheer themselves up as they play in the lower regions of Scottish football probably for the next two seasons at least!! Yes you are still playing in the “diddy” cup while the big bhoys are going to get into the big cup.!! The same one called the Champions cup but you lot will not know anything about that.

Shocking performance last night. Ambrose can’t defend, he can’t pass.

This is the most wasteful side I’ve ever seen in front of goal. It’s s team of sebos….or should I say ciftcis.

So far this season, 111 shots, only 49 on target and just 15 goals. Deilas refusal to play a second striker makes playing with wingers pointless as no one there to win headers.

Thought a draw was a fair result, defensively certain players just aren’t up to it, and continually make basic mistakes.

No Izaguirre and Ambrose = win last night. Can’t even get the basics right. Surely that MUST be their last time in a Celtic jersey. Wee Jamesy hopefully now getting over injury problems cos last night he was electric. HH
