Calvin MillerCalvin Miller earned the super sub tag with two late goals in a minute to keep Celtic on course to complete the Development League campaign undefeated with the hoops drawing 2-2 with St Mirren at Cappielow.

Miller replaced Jack Aitchison at half time and found the net in the 83rd and 84th minutes to cancel out a first half goal for the Championship side tby Stuart Carswell.

There was however a sting in the tail as veteran Alan Gow scored straight from a free kick in the 88th minute to earn is side a point.

There was plenty of experience in the Celtic side with Saidy Janko making his first appearance in five months, further forward there were places for Ryan Christie, James Forrest, Scott Allan and Tom Rogic providing support to 16-year-old Aitchison.

Celtic totally dominated the first half possession but Saints keeper Dan Wilks was rarely tested as his defence, marshalled by Jim Goodwin plugged the gaps to keep Celtic at bay.

Allan on the left hit the byeline in the tenth minute but there were no takers when he fired a low ball across the face of goal.

On the other flank James Forrest was getting some joy out of the Saints left-back but around the six yard box Celtic weren’t carrying much threat.

Totally against the run of play the Championship side took the lead in the 27th minute. Stuart Carswell forced Fiacre Kelleher into a slip just inside the Celtic half with the midfielder racing in on goal, drawing Ross Doohan and confidently stroking the ball into the net from 18 yards out.

Celtic camped in the Saints half for the remainder of the first half but were unable to create an equaliser.

Miller replaced Aitchison at the interval and should have equalised in the 48th minute but shot unconvincingly wide of the post after being sent through the left channel by Christie.

Midway through the second half Christie headed over at the back post from a cross by Aidan McIlduff with Miller failing to find the target after being teed up by Forrest who had got in behind his marker

Undeterred Miller drew Celtic level in the 83 minute showing the composure of a natural striker to drill the ball home from six yards out from a cross by Christie on the left.

Within a minute Celtic found themselves in front when Miller lobbed in a cheeky effort from 20 yards out that the Saints keeper barely got a look at.

It looked like Celtic had did enough to claim all three points but with a minute left to play Gow scored from a free kick to earn his side a point.
