Dave King G & SCash strapped Sevco have attempted to provoke Mike Ashley into action by binning their contract with Rangers Retail.

The company will now attempt to set up their own commercial deals knowing that Sports Direct will step in with an injunction the minute that they breach the terms of the Rangers Retail deal.

It’s highly unlikely that any manufacturer will want to fall foul of Sports Direct leaving the Ibrox club in limbo as they prepare for their first season in the top flight.

Today the company announced: “The Rangers Football Club Limited has today served notice on Rangers Retail Limited terminating the IP Licence and Rights Agreement with that company with immediate effect.

The Club now needs to speak to its commercial partners to agree the next steps flowing from the termination and will make no further comment on this matter whilst discussions are ongoing.

The Club will endeavour to communicate further with its supporters and customers for Rangers Kit and other Rangers products as soon as it is in a position to do so.”

The move to cut out Ashley is another attempt to play to the gallery as Dave King plays to the gallery to bring in season ticket money.

Negotiations to bring Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar were widely leaked to excite the gullible with little likelihood of either player joining the Warbo revolution.

Since sweeping to power 14 months ago Mr King has failed to invest a penny in the company, has failed to find a NOMAD and failed to provide a share issue.
