Celtic_FansIt started with two against Ross County, finished with seven against Motherwell with 93 goals scored in total as Celtic powered to their fifth successive title.

There was probably more lows than highs along the way but as send off’s go the fans were sent home happy with the sun on their back and memories of Celtic’s 99th trophy win.

With Jack Aitchinson, Ryan Christie and Kieran Tierney on the scoresheet there was a definite nod towards the future with at least two of those scorers expecting to play a major part in the quest for 6-in-a-row.

Callum McGregor was one of the successes of the season, battling his way into the side after looking a peripheral figure as the campaign started.

With his quick feet, eye for goal and eagerness to move forward the 23-year-old has now emerged from prospect to player with the 2015/16 season his most significant to date.

Speaking of the departing Ronny Deila, McGregor said: “To me, he was just a first-class guy. He put an arm around my shoulder when I needed it and after the game yesterday I sought him out to say thanks for that because I wouldn’t be here in this position without him.

I don’t know where he will go from here but I’ll certainly be looking out for him and wishing him all the best.

He made me realise what it takes to play for Celtic. About how you need that intensity at every training session, in every game. My attitude is different and I think my game is better for it.

Ronny made me realise what a chance it is to be here and a privilege to play for such a massive club. I am determined to take it.”
