Leigh Griffiths has promised the Celtic support that there will be no slip ups tomorrow night against Lincoln Red Imps.

Last week Celtic lost 1-0 to the side from Gibraltar puncturing the feel-good factor from the appointment of Brendan Rodgers.

Failure to progress into the next round of the Champions League qualifiers would be the biggest disaster to hit the club but Griffiths is adamant that there won’t be a repeat of last week’s shock.

There’s no doubt we’ll go through, but it’s just about being professional on the night,” last season’s 40 goal striker said.

You don’t want to get beaten, especially away from home, but tomorrow night is perfect to rectify that.

We are going to attack, there’s going to be a lot of pace in the team, and an early goal will frighten them.

The players understand the fans’ frustrations. Fans pay to watch us and we put in a poor result.

The fans will turn up tomorrow, though, and back us from start to finish. Hopefully we can win for them.

I hit the bar twice over there but it was one of those nights where nothing went right for us. I’m confident we’ll score and if we score first it’ll put them on the back foot.”

Celtic will know before they kick off against Lincoln who they will face in the next round if they are successful with the Astrana v Zalgiris tie kicking off at 3pm Celtic Park time.
