Kris Commons is back in the Celtic squad registered with UEFA for the Champions League third round qualifier against Astana.

The 31-year-old hasn’t featured in any matches so far under Brendan Rodgers but could get an outing in tomorrow’s match against Leicester City.

Logan Bailly is the only name missing from the squad with the Belgian keeper out for at least a month after injuring his foot during the pre-season trip to Slovenia.

Teenage Irish keeper Conor Hazard has been named as the third choice keeper with no limit placed on the number of home developed players in the 25 man squad.

Speaking earlier this week Rodgers admitted: “Kris Common trained separately to the group. He’s a long way off in terms of intensity.

He has been working behind the scenes on the injury but, in terms of football fitness, he won’t be available for a while.”

Celtic can still register another player before next week’s first leg clash with Astana with Rodgers stating on Wednesday that he had hoped to bring in two players ahead of the Astana deadline.
