Stefan Johansen will have a scan on his injured ankle this morning.

The midfielder was substituted in the 29th minute of the 0-0 draw with Maribor last night as Celtic completed their four match trip to Slovenia.

Despite speculation that he is on his way to Galatasaray Johansen started last night’s match with Rodgers appearing to try out his first choice XI ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier against Lincoln Red Imps.

Johansen was the only player to pick up a knock with the Celtic boss hopeful that the midfielder will be in the squad that flies on to Gibraltar.

Stefan is fine,” Rodgers said after the match. ‘We’re sending him for a scan in the morning. It’s a precaution. He felt his ankle in warm-up. There was nothing in training yesterday. We’ll see how he is in the morning.”

Johansen was replaced by Callum McGregor with nine changes made in the 73rd minute as the hoops boss pushes his players towards full fitness.

Mikael Lustig was one of those substitutes- appearing in a Celtic jersey less than four weeks after being injured in Sweden’s 1-1 draw with Ireland at Euro 2016.

The 29-year-old became the fourth right-back to feature on the tour with Rodgers also able to assess Anthony Ralston, Darnell Fisher and Saidy Janko who started the match against Maribor.

Twenty-nine players were listed for the match with Rodgers delighted with the way his players performed throughout the trip.

I’ve been overly impressed by attitude of the players. A long way to go but for attitude and players taking this on board I’m delighted.

I felt we left having worked well at Lennoxtown and after this 20 day period, we now travel to our first European game as a team. It’s been an excellent tour for us. It’s only 20 days since we have been together.”
