After admitting defeat in the bid to bring Robin van Persie to Ibrox Mark Warburton has been offering free advise on the currency markets.
Despite not spending a penny in transfer fees this summer the former city trader was happy to run with the van Persie yarn despite failing to attract players like former Newcastle defender Steven Taylor to his Ibrox revolution.

Blaming the over heated English transfer market for his own club’s lack of spending power the former Brentford boss returned to the profession he gave up on to drive the team bus for Watford’s u-10 squad.
“I always look at currency markets,” Warbo recalled. “When currency gets to a certain level you have to look at it.
“When we were getting two dollars to the pound everyone was saying: ‘Oh it’s so cheap over there – it’s too good to be true’ – and it is. It’s out of kilter. About $1.50 is probably level.
“You look at football and you would say there is too much – and it’s too good to be true but right now the Premier League brand is magnificent. You can go anywhere in the world and you’re watching Premier League football.
“I have friends in New York who are watching more games than me. What a magnificent product and brand.
“The money is mind-boggling but the quality of product is ever improving so all credit to them.”
