Brendan Rodgers can add one new face by 11pm on Tuesday to his squad to face Hapoel Beer Sheva in the Champions League play-off.
Last night’s transfer deadline passed without any dramas with the Celtic boss content with the way that his squad is shaping up.
Mossa Dembele, Kolo Toure and Scott Sinclair have been brought in so far with the emphasis firmly on quality rather than squad fillers.
Rodgers still has three weeks left in the transfer window but his next signing will be dependent on which UEFA competition Celtic will be playing in.
If the hoops can see off Hapoel Rodgers is likely to go for one big statement signing, if they drop into the Europa League a more modest signing is likely as the focus returns to creating a squad capable of delivering regular Champions League football.
As well as his big signings Rodgers has added Eoghan O’Connell to his top team squad with the young Irishman meeting all expectations of a central defender.
Since taking over from Ronny Deila Rodgers has continued to promote an upbeat message but underneath those comments there is a ruthlessness to overhaul the squad that he inherited.
After beating Hearts on Sunday he told Radio Scotland: “I’m probably looking at getting in another two signings if I can, if I get that I’ll be really really happy.
“If we do that I think the market will have been good for us, we’ll have brought in a defender, a winger, an attacker but let’s wait and see.
“I’m really pleased with the players that are currently here. They’ve shown a very strong mentality, I think if we can bring in a couple to help them.
“We didn’t want to bring in eight, nine or ten players. I needed time to be fair to the players, take a look at the squad and see what I could bring in to help them.”
