Sutton’s demolition delight- that was a pumping

Straight talking Chris Sutton didn’t mind being three goals out as he watched Celtic crush Sevco 5-1.

The match had echoes of Sutton’s first Glasgow derby in which he scored the first and last goals in a 6-2 win for Martin O’Neill’s side against Rangers (IL).

Sutton’s reputation as a pundit is starting to mirror his on field performances and he gives no ground and calls things exactly as he sees it- without fear or favour.

Celtic’s demolition act was in line with the expectations of many supporters with Mark Warburton now under scrutiny as Sevco boss.

With two wins from five matches in the top flight the magic hat has a lot to prove with Sutton ahead of the game as he questioned the magic hat before kick off.

Previewing the match in the Daily Record Sutton asked: “It’s a huge game for Warburton, I don’t really want to compare him yet to Ronny Deila but the Norwegian was always slaughtered, by myself included, for never having a Plan B.

“Effectively, he lost his job because he played the same way game in and game out, even when he was getting exposed. Warburton is in danger of going the same way.

“I cannot think of one game this season where Rangers have not played the same way as usual. This is a guy who has come with a big reputation and he’ll be under severe pressure if goes with his normal set-up and it gets destroyed.”

Sevco were destroyed, the magic hat is a myth.
