It was a tale of two keepers as Celtic lost their 100% domestic record in a 2-2 draw with Inverness Caley Thistle.
An 89th minute goal from Alex Fisher saw Dorus de Vries scrambling about his goal line while Inverness keeper Owain Fon Williams was inspired form throughout a second half onslaught from the hoops.
Celtic struck the woodwork three times during the second half with Williams acting as a one man defence as Brendan Rodgers side chased the decisive third goal.
Strikes from Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair either side of a Billy King wonder goal looked to have the hoops set up for another win but the second half turned into a tale of woe as the third goal proved increasingly elusive.
As Williams piled up save after save Inverness gained confidence for the final stages with Fisher’s header snatching a barely deserved point.
De Vries didn’t look especially at fault but after replacing Craig Gordon the former Forest keeper has still to convince Celtic fans that he is an improvement on Craig Gordon.
As the final whistle blew on the first dropped points of the season twitter was unforgiving
@videocelts Other defenders need to step up. Sviatchenko wasn’t great today while Jozo needs more time. Fon Williams was excellent for ICT

Fair play to the ICT guy- good header. But De Vries. Jesus Christ.

I’m not confident at all with this keeper

That’s what happens when you don’t stick your chances away.

De vries is going to have to work hard to get out from under this emerging perception that he’s not very good.

Celtic get a lesson in not finishing their chances. Goalkeeper has been unreal but not good enough overall.

@videocelts Should have scored about 5 then it wouldn’t have mattered
