Charles Green will attend the Football Blogging Awards in Manchester next month.

The Sevco founder will be a guest at the table of John James whose site is among ten nominated for the best newcomer category.

The John James site appeared a year ago and has kept up a daily running commentary on the various dynamics involved in the clubs from Ibrox.

Some incredible claims have been made by the site which has no time or respect for the current leadership of Dave King. Despite some very strong accusations it seems that no legal action or retractions have been placed giving credibility to the claims.

Accusations about driving the share price down and serious concerns about three roofs at Ibrox Stadium have been the bedrock of the site which also has a number of well informed contributors adding their comments.

Announcing the presence of Mr Green, the site stated: “There will be a second virtual table should ten donations be forthcoming. I urge those who have bought a virtual ticket but are not on the list to send a £1 Paypal donation to jog my memory.

At this juncture, I’m also inviting 9 readers to join Charles Green’s table at £30 per ticket. Charles Green is my guest of honour at the FBA gala evening.”

After failing to come up with a CVA in the summer of 2012 Mr Green led a consortium of investors that purchased Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park from Duff & Phelps.

By retaining Ally McCoist and bringing in Walter Smith as a director then chairman Mr Green won over the sceptics in the Ibrox support and raised £22m in a share issue in December 2012.

Green later stepped down in April 2013 after being accused of using a racist term to discuss a fellow founding father.
