Motherwell have been able to provide their fans with eight minutes of highlights from yesterday’s game with Celtic.
With supporters increasingly unhappy about the coverage from BBC Sportscene, the Fir Park side are able to provide online highlights of their matches from midnight on matchday.
After losing 12 goals in their last two visits to Celtic Park the match was unlikely to provide much entertainment from the visitors with Mark McGhee content enough with a 2-0 defeat.
McGhee had spent the bulk of the international break away with Scotland which put him in the unusual position of having worked with four of his opponents ahead of the Saturday match.
Kieran Tierney was the only member of the Celtic quartet to start for Scotland with Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest and Craig Gordon having to contend themselves with a place on the bench.
Griffiths was again on substitute duty yesterday but was given 30 minutes to impress as Brendan Rodgers shuffled his side around to retain freshness.
Since suffering a hamstring strain at the start of September Griffiths has lost his place in the starting XI to Moussa Dembele but the former Wolves striker has been reassured that he still has a big part to play in Rodgers’ plans.
“You can’t do it with one striker,’ the Irishman explained. “Leigh was in the team and doing great, so Moussa had to be patient. I put him in and out of games but his attitude was brilliant.
“Leigh got injured, Moussa came in, now he’s player of the month. That’s what you want and players respect that. Moussa’s a top young talent, it’s clear to see that. They will both be very important for us this season.”
