The celebrations of the Celtic support seems never ending as their favourites go from strength to strength- 50 years on from their greatest ever triumph in Lisbon.

Few sets of supporters have a keener sense of history with the exploits of Jock Stein’s side being celebrated more with each passing year.

Rather than intimidate the current side it seems that the history of the club ensures that every effort is made to live up to the achievements of the past with new players embracing the culture of the club to the full.

Over the last five or six years In The Heat of Lisbon has become one of the favourite chants coming from The Green Brigade- over the last few weeks a concert like feature has been added with supporters switching on their mobile phones to light up the night.

Right on cue it started again at Hampden, from the 66th minute the lights started to come on as the fans burst into song- with Bertie Auld enjoying it more than most!

With the turn of the year kicking off the full Lisbon celebrations it looks like Brendan Rodgers squad will be providing the current generation of fans with plenty to celebrate.
