Brendan Rodgers has revealed that a flood of agents want him to give their players the Dembele treatment.
Within five months of joining Celtic the former Fulham striker is being linked with the biggest clubs in the business as he uses the Champions League as his platform.
Against Borussia Monchengladbach he bullied defenders and played with a maturity way beyond his birth certificate.
After earning a penalty he had the nerve to step up and convert in front of a jeering stadium knowing that their side’s Champions League prospects are on the line.
Unearthing Dembele for the knock-down fee of £500,000 was a masterstroke but the good news for Celtic fans is that Rodgers is confident that there are similar talents out there waiting to get their chance.
Asked if there could be more Dembele’s Rodgers said: “There are.
“That is the notion that I have in terms of looking at building a structure that allows more of them to come here.
“Moussa is a great catalyst if you are an agent now and I have had a number of conversations where people see the example of Moussa.
“It really has lit up their eyes to what the possibilities are. Here is a guy who was a talent — but he was playing in the Championship in England. And now he is one of the most coveted strikers — never mind young — in Europe, and his platform is here in Scotland.
“He is a great advertisement for what we are trying to do and he is enjoying his time here. There is talent out there. It is the right ones at the right time.”
Despite his recent heavy workload Dembele is expected to lead the line when Celtic take on Inverness Caley Thistle tomorrow.
