Sevco have joined the race for Dundalk duo Andy Boyle and Daryl Horgan!

According to a report in the Daily Record Mark Warburton has ‘registered an interest in for the pair’ who are out of contract at the end of the year.

Boyle and Horgan have impressed in Dundalk’s Europa League run this season and were called up by Martin O’Neill for the World Cup qualifier against Austria.

It’s unclear the extent of the interest from Sevco but after the treatment of Joey Barton it’s unlikely that the Irish duo will be in any rush to embrace the culture of Ibrox.

With finances grim at Ibrox and a January fire sale expected it’s highly unlikely that Warbo, who used to work as a city trader, will be given the green light to add to the eleven new faces that he brought in to his star studded squad during the summer.

Newcastle United and QPR are credited with an interest in Boyle and Horgan with every major club in England aware of their availability.

What exactly Warbo can offer to two top Irish prospects is unclear with the future of the former Brentford supremo on the line with the club with the second biggest budget in the land floundering in third place in the SPFL.

Warbo’s legendary development skills are also under question with only 38-year-old Clint Hill of his summer signings making any impact on the team.

With just three goals to his name £1.8m striker Joe Garner seems to be the biggest flop while Jordan Rossiter and Matt Crooks spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch.
