Rumours that Martyn Waghorn has fallen foul of Mark Warburton are bound to intensify with news that the striker has been sent on Development League duty to Ross County this afternoon.

The former Wigan striker has fallen from favour at Ibrox with reports linking him with a move to Fulham or Bristol City in the January transfer window.

Waggers has scored just once in the Premier League with his place as the main striker taken up by Joe Garner.

In Sevco’s last SPFL match, away to Ross County, Waggers was a 64th minute substitute for Garner with the same journey faced today with Graeme Murty’s faltering Development side.

Philippe Senderos, Danny Wilson and Barrie McKay join Waggers on the long journey north to face league leaders Ross County.

Murty replaced Ian Durrant in charge of the Murray Park kids but after 11 matches Sevco are second bottom of the 17 strong table with 11 points from 10 matches.

Waggers missed out on a new contract during the close season and is almost half way through the three year contract that he signed after arriving from Wigan Athletic.

Sevco are believed to be holding out for a fee of around £400,000 for the 26-year-old but it’s expected that any January bids will be for around half that figure.
