Joey Barton’s sudden departure from Ibrox after just eight games has given football fans across the country another excuse to laugh at Sevco.
#goingfor55 was that slogan throughout the summer as the message went out for season ticket sales with the bears happy to buy into the plan.
With less than a third of the season gone Sevco are mixing it with Hearts, Aberdeen and St Johnstone for second place as they sit closer to the bottom that the top of the table.

Celtic fans have been lapping things up since they witnessed Barton’s last appearance as his boasts were trashed by Scott Brown & Co in a 5-1 humiliation.
What went on afterwards, in the visitors dressing room and on the team coach remains a mystery but no doubt Barton’s version will come out at some stage.
The memories of his introduction are still fresh as he sent out a message to opponents about what he was about to unleash.
The quotes are all over social media tonight but the laugh isn’t on Barton- £1m plus for eight games in just over four months is a fantastic rate of pay wherever you are.
As Sevco pretend that life goes on as normal Mark Warburton will soon discover that his prospects of a January warchest have been ruined.
Thanks for the memories Joey, your next book is already eagerly anticipated in this part of the world.
