It didn’t get any better than this for Wilson. He scored the only goal of a bad tempered Glasgow derby that provided the excuse for some draconian Hollyrood legislation.
Wilson’s shot was turned into his own net by Steven Craigen for the second goal of the game allowing the closing stages to be played out in a party atmosphere.
There was to be one more season for Wilson at Celtic before his career wound down via Bristol City, Dundee United and Dumbarton, he recently took over as manager of Airdrie United.
