Chris Sutton reckons that Manchester City just can’t handle the aftermath of playing Celtic.

In September the hoops ended the 100% start to the season of Pep Guardiola’s side with Spurs then inflicting their first Premier League defeat the following weekend.

City rested a number of key players in the 1-1 draw with Celtic on Tuesday night but were hammered 4-2 yesterday at Leicester.

Guardiola’s side were two down within five minutes and needed two late goals to make the scoreline respectable.

While City are suffering a Celtic hangover the hoops are going from strength to strength with Brendan Rodgers side winning 4-1 away to Partick Thistle three nights after visiting the Etihad.

Celtic now have an eight point lead at the top of the SPFL, with three home matches in the next tend days they can make inroads into their games in hand and stretch their lead at the top of the table well into double figures.
