Davie Weir has hit out at the personal abuse that Mark Warburton suffers from.
Weir talked to the Sunday Mail about criticism that is ‘really personal’ without giving any hint about the possible source of the criticism.
Warbo, who used to work as a city trader, regularly includes the media in his moans and groans and claimed earlier this season that 20 pages in one newspaper were used to cover his side losing at Aberdeen.

“You do get p***ed off. I’m not speaking for the manager but with him it’s personal, really personal. It’s his picture, it’s his name.
“Fortunately, he’s sensible enough, has been around long enough and has worked in a lot of different places. So he knows.
“He is quite calm about it but of course it does get personal. When you’re a player and somebody criticises you or writes something about you, you don’t think about yourself.
“You think about your family. You think about what your dad is going to say. That is how it affects you.”
If personal criticism is being questioned over not having a change of tactics it seems that Weir is becoming very sensitive in his old age.
Ronny Deila took much more media criticism but again it was never personal it all related to his results and tactics.
In 13 matches as manager of Sheffield United Weir won one game, drew three and lost nine.
