Almost a fortnight after Celtic’s 2-1 win over Sevco the Ibrox club have uncovered some mysterious damage to their stadium.

After over three months of refusing to pay for repairs to a wrecked toilet unit at Celtic Park the hoops lost patience and deducted the £40,000 cost of repairs from the ticket bill for the Ibrox match.

Celtic supporters group representatives were supposed to inspect the Broomloan Road Stand after the match but no check on the condition of the stadium was planned before the match.

After Celtic deducted the repair bill from the ticket cheque the Ibrox club have hit back with a claim of damage without producing a shred of evidence.

An un-named Ibrox spokesman told the Daily Record: “Negotiations around this issue have been ongoing and Rangers is currently evaluating the cost of damage caused at Ibrox during the Hogmanay match. Responsibility for that cost will have to be accepted.”

Within hours of the 5-1 match finishing pictures appeared on social media of the damage to Celtic Park, after the game at Ibrox pictures appeared of green scented candles left in the toilets.
