Brendan Rodgers won’t let Gary Mackay-Steven quit Celtic.
Dundee United made an approach for the winger in midweek but got the same answer as other interested parties from the Celtic boss.
BR on @Gary__11: “I’ve had a number of offers for Gary but he’s not someone I would like to see leave.”

Mackay-Steven was injured when Rodgers took over from Ronny Deila and had to wait till December for his first appearance- as a substitute away to Manchester City in the Champions League.
With James Forrest, Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair competing for two wide places in the side Mackay-Steven will have his work cut out to get in front of that trio.
The 26-year-old was signed from Dundee United two years ago but while Stuart Armstrong’s career has kicked on the one time Liverpool trainee has drifted out of the picture.
Rodgers comments today will provide Mackay-Steven with some hope with the hoops boss clearly planning to use him over the remainder of the season to add to the two Premier League starts he has made so far.
